In response, we would like to explain the situation in our view
We were hired by *** *** ***, to remove her front lawn & Install
Grass Seed*** *** was notified by us that it takes time & care to grow seedWe had given her the option of installing a Sod Lawn which is pre established grass, but it was not in her budgetAfter Completion of our job, *** *** was instructed by us on how to care for her seed lawnWe had asked her to please keep seed moist times daily but not to over soak the seed which will create seed runoffThis process should be done for weeks or until germination has begun
After Germination has started, watering should be done once a day in the morning befor am for minutes per zone
It is in our professional opinion that these instructions were not followed
At this point we are just trying to satisfy our clients, and on August ** we have removed *** *** Lawn Free of Charge & have reinstalled new grass seedWe have also reminded her of instructions of caring for new grass seed
We hope this will resolve the issue

Review: CCNY charged me $900 to power rake/rototill, level with new top soil, and seed my front lawn. The owner [redacted] promised that my lawn would be green if I watered it for 45 minutes every other day. I followed his instructions, but to my dismay the only things that grew were sedum and crabgrass. I called his business number at ###-###-#### on 4 different occasions and have yet to receive a call back. When his crew appeared to cut my weeds I did not allow them on my property. His workman said that I should have had the lawn power raked or roto- tilled! I told him that is exactly what his boss did. Unfortunately all I have now is a yard full of brown and sandy patches of dirt, crabgrass, sedum, and a few small patches of grass. I asked the workman to have his boss call me and to never come back to mow until/unless he does. I haven't seen hide nor hair of him.Desired Settlement: I would like a front lawn or a refund.

We had given her the option of installing a Sod Lawn which is pre established grass, but it was not in her budget. After Completion of our job, [redacted] was instructed by us on how to care for her seed lawn. We had asked her to please keep seed moist 3 times daily but not to over soak the seed which will create seed runoff. This process should be done for 3 weeks or until germination has begun.

After Germination has started, watering should be done once a day in the morning befor 9 am for 20 minutes per zone.

It is in our professional opinion that these instructions were not followed.

At this point we are just trying to satisfy our clients, and on August ** 2014 we have removed [redacted] Lawn Free of Charge & have reinstalled new grass seed. We have also reminded her of instructions of caring for new grass seed.
