Whether or not the screws were missingt, I'm unable to comment on since we did not see the phone when your husband alledgedly did the repair himself. However, there is no dispute as to the fact that you broke the phone AGAIN. And for that reason alone, the day warranty does not
cover accidental breakage. Tell us why here

To Who It may Concern
At this time we do not feel that any additional action is warranted

Mr*** called in to say his phone needed a replacement charging port. We took a phone order from him and collected $via a credit card over the phone. When the part arrived, he brought his phone in a few days later and dropped it off for repair.
Our repair tech first
tested the phone and immediately determined that it would not turn on and noticed the LCD was cracked under the glass. In addition, our technician tested the charging port and it was working fine.
We called Mr*** and informed him of our findings and he accused us of breaking his phone. We told him we did not break his phone and that if he wanted it repaired, a replacement screen would be $200.
He came and picked his phone up and left.
We don’t know if Mr*** realized his phone was cracked he entire time and is just trying to pull a scam or genuinely did not realize it was cracked. Regardless, if we break a customers phone, we always replace or repair the error. In this case we are not at fault and are not willing to pay Mr*** anything.
Sincerely,

The reason I am not satisfied with the business' response is because I have not made a claim that my phone cracked out of the blue for no reason, as the business in question (The Cell Phone Dr.) allegesMy claim is that the business did not properly install my screen and therefore it crackedIt is for this reason that I believe the business in question has an obligation to repair my phone screen free of chargeSince my initial complaint was filed I have had more problems with the phone to include the home button not working and the recent apps list not working causing the phone to be relatively uselessFurthermore, the cracks that I initially complained about are no where near the buttons in question

The customer  claims that the screen broke without impact which is not true because the screen shows signs of strong physical damage.Who knows what happened to the sceen? The fact is, cell phone screens these days are very fragile and they require a high level of care and protection especially...

the iphone 6. Using a phone without a good protective case can end in damaging the screen. I understand the customer frustration because he keeps braking his phone but he should learn to take the blame not blame it on others. We have a limited warranty that covers the functionality of the screen but when damage occurs the warranty is voided. But we are willing to do the following:1-Refund $119 for the second screen that magically broke. The first screen is nonrefundable since the customer admitted causing the damage.2- Replace the current broken screen for free .Thank you.

The reason why the phone broke is because it was not put back together properly. The business repaired it four weeks ago and due to their faulty practices, it was destined to break again. It was not put back together properly. When I spoke to an employee at the store he said "this is why we really push the extra warranty". As if he knew it was going to break again.  I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at this company and feel they should be penalized for apparent unethical business practices.

The business failed to give a check in report to not just me but to any customers when they drop off phones to state condition for this reason so they can lie about the condition after they break it. For the owner to allege that I was possibly scamming them is defamation of character and they can be held accountable. Furthermore, the owner as indicated in many online reviews and other Revdex.com complaints does this quite regularly. They actually waited a full day to tell me the screen was broken. Their own employee referred me to another company that handles all the phones they break. There was evidenced they pried my phone open. If they do not replace my screen and handle the complaint at this level I will be taking them to court. This is the principle of the matter. I could own the store if I want and don't need to scam anyone. For Mr [redacted] to allege this is actionable. Especially seeing that online reviews indicate that customers when having the same or similar actions have been placed in a "choke hold." This is poor business and even poorer customer service .
