Mr. [redacted] was sub-contracted by[redacted] to install my windows and sliding glass door. After more than 3 months, he still has notWe ordered windows and a sliding glass door. This was in August of 2013. Since the original purchase date. The windows came in and were put in with ease. However, Mr. [redacted] mis-measured the door and had to re-order one. Since that time, he has called to schedule more than 6 appointments and has failed to show or call for breaking those appointments. As of the latest, he called to set up a time at 3 pm on 12/17/2013, called around noon to say he had finished a job early and he asked if he could come by earlier. He was told that neither my wife or I could break away from work that early but would see him at 3pm as agreed upon. With hearing this he decided to leave the state once again without any disregard to the project he agreed to. He left the state and went back to his home of record. Desired SettlementI feel as though Mr. [redacted] contractor license should be revoked. He is a sham and a con-artist. Business Response First of all, the door was not measured wrong. It was a production error, so let's get the facts straight. The same door and the same measurements were reordered. This was no fault of mine, and if the manufacturer had not messed up then this job would have been completed as scheduled on the first day when the windows were all installed beautifully and with no problems. Furthermore, The door installation was rescheduled for a later date, and I drove the 300 miles away from my home, again, as a favor to[redacted], to complete the install; however, the homeowner had a girl scout meeting and was not able to comply. Two other appointments were scheduled to put in the door, but bad weather made it impossible to install on those dates. The customer was contacted each time. The last appointment was not set by myself, it was made by my field inspector, who did not realize that due to my nine year old daughter's school event, I could not stay in Arkansas after completing another job and wait on them to get home two hours later @3:00. The homeowners were not willing to work with me on completing this install. I told them that I could install the door without anyone being there on the last appointment; because, I could not wait around til 3 o'clock, but that wasn't good enough. I made many attempts to install the door, but they always had other things to do which left no one at home. I have over half a million dollars in install projects completed with nothing but a long list of satisfied and grateful customers that will back up these facts, and I have never had one single problem on any of my jobs concerning any of my craftsmanship or my ability to keep a schedule or appointments, so I highly disagree with Mrs.[redacted] suggestion to revoke any such contractor's licenses. I am hardly a sham or a con-artist, and this complaint is ridiculous.
