Chem-Dry of Cary

Not satisfied with service provided. They did not perform what was advertised as the "Chem dry process". On 1/2/16 the Chem dry technicians arrived at my home around 12:30pm as scheduled. They greeted me and I began to explain to them that I recently purchased the home and the previous owners had 2 pets which caused an odor and several stains on the carpeting upstairs. I also wanted my sofa and recliner cleaned which my own pet had left stains on. He explained that they would use a deodorizer and sanitizer along with "[redacted]" which is a pet order eliminator. I agreed to the price of $543.08 and they began. I was sitting downstairs. The guy was working upstairs and the girl was working on the stairs. I saw the girl vacuum (with a regular vacuum cleaner, spray a chemical on the carpet, then used what could only be described as a hand held buffer to buff the carpet. Then she proceded to rake the carpet. I asked if that was the entire process and they said yes. 3 rooms, a hallway, and a stairway took them 30 mins which in itself was a red flag. They came downstairs, sprayed the solution on the chairs and used the same buffer on the chairs. AT NO TIME WAS THERE ANY EXTRACTION MACHINE WHICH USED HOT WATER AND STEAM AS SHOWN IN CHEM DRY'S PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS USED!!! I was so shocked I simply paid, said thank you and they left. After looking up chem dry's process online I realized they did not perform they entire process. I contacted the owner, [redacted], who stated that he never gets complains and he's been in business for years and Chem dry is the best, etc... I feel like I spent my hard earned money and DID NOT receive the service they advertised. Again, NO EXTRACTION MACHINE WAS USED. I rented a [redacted] from [redacted] later that day and re did the carpets myself. I have pictures showing the dirty water that came out of the carpets that had just been "cleaned" by Chem dry. I called the owner and informed him on his voicemail that I was going to put a stop payment on my [redacted] card and I would be happy to pay him for their time but not for their services which I clearly didn't not receive. I then called [redacted], they told me I would have to let the transaction post then dispute it. I feel like they took my money and sprayed and raked my carpets. Even after several calls and voice messages [redacted] has not gotten back to me. I do believe that Chem dry can give a good clean as promised if they perform the services shown on their website how ever it is clear that they did not perform what was shown online. I am appalled that why would used a hand held buffer instead on the machine shown online and expect me to believe that that was the right way to clean carpets per Chem dry. Desired SettlementAs I stated to [redacted] on his voicemail, I am willing to pay for their time but not for the service they clearly did not perform properly.
