Review: I have a complaint of a company that I believe is a scam of door to door selling of computer discs and books. I have ordered a package of computer discs and books from a company who claimed to be involved with the popular Scholastic company that supplies all of the books to the schools in the area which was false information. I was lead to believe I was purchasing a learning program that will teach my children the new way of learning that they teach in school and what I received was encyclopedias and a couple of cheap children's computer discs that are not associated with the Scholastic company as I was told very generically packaged not likely coming from a professional company. I tried to return the packages and was told that once the items entered my house they were non returnable. I told the company that I was dissatisfied and this was not what I was lead to believe I was purchasing and the products are still packed as they where when I received them, I did not want the money I already paid back I just want to return everything and I'm not paying the remainder of the bill. I was told I was stuck with the products and hung up on and that was the end. I've been in contact with Mr. [redacted] from the Attorney General's office and have forwarded all my interactions and documents with this company such as: the name on the top of the contract does not coincide with the name on a letter from scholastic success services company (and when looking up the company on this site it comes up as a completely different name; "child readiness program". I've been in contact with the actual Scholastic company and they have verified that this company has no affiliation with them nor do they have any copyrights to be using their name. I'm not stating this is a scam because I didn't get products after paying, I'm saying that what I got is not what I was told I was being sold and now I'm being told that it's non returnable and I have to take the hit and finish paying the remaining 1,799.00 which I'm refusing to do.Desired Settlement: I want to be able to return the items I received and the remaining money due wiped clean and my contract to be [redacted] and void from my history.
