To Whom it May Concern: I am writing in response to complaint# ***. On October 3, 2017, I received an email from the complainant that her child would no longer be attending our center due to the fact that the family had moved to a location the she described as outside of the area.
She also mentioned in that email that she would call to inform us as well. When she called, she was informed that a two week notice was required to withdraw from our center and that she would be responsible for two weeks charges in the amount of $280.00. When informed of this fact, she stated that she was withdrawing because her child was sick too often rather than the move which was an attempt to be released from paying the charges owed. I reminded her of the email that she sent and she would not discuss that and said that our parent handbook allowed termination of service if the parent or the center decided that the center was not a good fit, and I again reminded her that her stated reason for leaving was the move and that we had it in writing. I informed her that we expected payment for the two weeks. She did pay the amount owed. During her child’s stay at our center, we did not notice any unusual or continual illness, nor did we receive any complaints from her as described in the complaint. I would describe the relationship as amicable and with no unusual issues while her child was in our careAttached is a copy of the email and a copy of our handbook which describes our policy regarding withdrawal.
