Chili's Mira Mesa

Review: Dear Reviewer, I am a frequent Chilis visitor and have always had positive experiences taking my daughter there for a great family-friendly dining experience...until today.Both my friend and I ordered flat bread pizzas and hers came with a bite already taken out of it. We couldn't believe our eyes. I inspected it thoroughly out of shock that this actually happened and sure enough... a bite... out of the pizza. I immediately waved down my server, [redacted], and informed her of what happened...laughing it off she assured she will bring us back a new pizza. The manager soon came to inquire about the pizza and I explained to him a bite was taken out of it. His response was humorous and defensive as he told me that he is "responsible for quality assurance" and "he inspected it before he went out and it hadn't had a bite out of it". I couldn't believe he told me this. I saw him training a new server, and know 100% he did not inspect this pizza, plus if he did he would have noticed that somebody took a BITE OUT OF IT !I am so upset by his response. I would think that a manager in this situation would be apologetic and embarrassed that they are running a restaurant that is serving food with bites taken out of it, rather he showed no accountability. It was obvious that nobody "assured quality" for my food, and the fact that he told me he did simply reflects on his poor management skills while creating a huge health concern by allowing this type of food to be served. I'm disgusted.Chili's should be completely embarrassed that their manager that is representing such a well-known and liked brand, in such a poor fashion. I will never be back to Chili's and I assure to inform everybody I know about my experience I had today. The $7 removed from my check means nothing - a simple apology and accountability would have been great though.Completely disappointed and utterly grossed out, [redacted] Here are details from my receipt:Chili's Grill & BarMira Mesa #[redacted] Lusk Blvd.San Diego, CA 9Desired Settlement: This matter should be addressed by the appropriate person in the appropriate manor. This needs to be addressed to the management at Chili's-Mira Mesa and further training needs to be conducted, as well as education on appropriate food inspection skills as well as management skills. I am not seeking a refund, rather training and awareness of these awful situations need to be addressed.
