Business took out double tip on my credit card without my authorization. something that is illegal in every state.Went to eat at the restaurant on 12/07/2014 and two days later I found out that the restaurant took out twice as much tip as I had left on my card. I contacted the manager who blamed the waitress and said he would refund my money to my card but he never did. This act is very illegal and unethical to make an unauthorized transaction without the card holders consent. I am very disappointed in the way this restaurant went behind my back and used my personal credit card to increase their revenue. I have the original receipt as proof as well as a picture of the bank statement to show as proof of this horrible act. Desired SettlementI would like the restaurant to refund my money through a check and issue a written apology and send me a coupon for the anger, stress and time I spent trying to resolve this issue. Business Response We explained over the phone that it was a honest mistake and that we could send money back or if he wanted to bring the card back we could refund the card, we will send his $2 back, the waitress that took care of him made a mistake and added $2 to the tip, his friend left $4 tip so she mistakenly closed both cards with $4 tip, it was not intentionally, this employee has a perfect record.We understand this is wrong but it was not intentional, and I think that anybody can make a mistake, We need an address to send this $2 back, and a gift card for the inconvenience...Consumer Response That is untrue the other people that went with me have confirmed and have bank statements to verify their tip amount was not $4 I can show proof to verify that claim.Final Business Response We just need to get the mailing address so we can send the $2, Is the [redacted] correct? we are not arguing anymore, the employee has accepted her mistake.
