Review: This is a long story now that involves the parent company, [redacted] as well as the manager of City North American, [redacted] repeatedly failed to communicate the issues surrounding moving my belongings. For days on end he would not return my phone calls and did not find out what the plan was to complete my move. His staff made promises of qualifying for compensation that turned out to be false and [redacted] was rude, showed no sense of effort to complete his contract and breached the contract. In addition, he lied to me about when my belongings left his warehouse (they did not leave for another 10 days), never provided the appropriate inventory paperwork and continued to duck my phone calls and emails for days on end. His business practices were despicable and led to me still not having my belongings as of 6/16/2014 when he picked them up on 5/21/14. He originally noted 5/26/14 as the delivery date and then failed to notify me of the change in date (I had to call him on 5/27/14) and his excuse was "I don't have an excuse for not calling you". He has been absolutely awful to work with and failed to complete his contract. No compensation has ever been offered from him and he has not apologized for his actions.Desired Settlement: I will be filing a separate complaint for the major company, [redacted], to include the remainder of the major issues included in this move (I still do not have my belongings as of 6/16/14 9pm CT - and my contract last date for delivery was 6/6/14). I am seeking a settlement of not having to pay for this move - total approximately $2800

Good Morning,

I have personally told Ms. [redacted] that my company, City North American, has done nothing wrong. This is a failure of [redacted] whom we are an agent for. For no compensation City North American pickup up Ms. [redacted]'s household goods because the [redacted] driver could not be here on loading day. We were later informed that the driver that was assigned filled out and had no room for her goods. Her household goods are in route and should be delivered this week. Ms. [redacted]'s comment about compensation is also not correct. [redacted], even though she is under the minimum weight category for compensation, agreed to give her $300. Half of that is paid my me. She was given the cus[redacted]er service number for the parent company [redacted] but continued to call my agency twice per day. We told her to keep in contact with cus[redacted]er service because they were the only option for information as the goods are no longer in our care. We also told her that if we had any extra information we would contact her at that time. She was called when her goods left Moscow. I am truly sorry for this service failure by [redacted] but my company, City North American, has done nothing wrong.

Attached is a copy of Ms. [redacted]'s bill of lading agreement with [redacted] and correspondence with me. These letters show that we have been in contact with her. This complaint is about a service failure by [redacted] not City North American.

I would first like to note that the responder for City North American is the father of the individuals ([redacted] and [redacted]) that I have primarily complained about and has previously responded to my complaint with an inaccurate account of the problems. His only involvement with this situation has been to answer one prior e-mail (attached) and this complaint with the Revdex.com. His response did not mention the part where [redacted] deliberately (I asked him why he did not tell me and his response was "I guess I do not have an excuse"), one, did not inform me that my belongings did not leave on their original date as previous note, two, [redacted] lied to me about my belongings leaving the second time as previously noted, three, that [redacted] misinformed me continuously about compensation, and finally that [redacted] continuously did not answer my phone calls (even though my belongings were in the possession of City North American from 5/21/2014 - 6/10/2014), would not communicate with me (I took me on average 3 days each time to get a hold of [redacted]), and was not voluntarily updating me even when requested to multiple times (even if he did not have new information). The $300 was negotiated by [redacted] through the cus[redacted]er service line and I have not seen a penny of that money. Below I have attached the correspondence with the Manger and the estimate with City North American. In addition, my belongings arrived on 6/17/2014 at 4pm in Hays, Kansas. The original inventory list that was supposed to be given to me back in Washington on 5/21/2014 by [redacted] was found packaged in the crates. The day my shipment was picked up my colleague signed for shipment (I was working) and never received a shred of paperwork from [redacted].
