CK's Coffee Shops is pressuring its customers to use a ATM machine to pay for their food. CK'S menu reflect one price, but after paying by debit card or credit card at the ATM there is an additional charge of $2.25. The store has no posting of this fact any place in the building of this fee or their practice. The owner is making money off of the ATM machine as well as the price of the food. Also, on the front door there is a sign stating that they can request payment upfront. Both of these practices are unethical and if his other two CK'S in [redacted] do not follow the same practices then other issues exist as well.Desired SettlementI seek this business to refund my money and discontinue these practices that are wrong.Business Response For the 40 years I have run these stores we have always been a cash only restaurant. We do not accept checks nor credit cards and never have. The ATM machines were installed for customer convenience. I am sorry this customer came in, ate, had no money and was forced to use the ATM. I do not set the charges for the machines but the company that owns them does. The menu clearly states that 10PM-6AM add 10% increase to all prices. All 4 of my restaurants are exactly the same and he is the first customer to complain about this.
