C&L Painting and Repairs

On February 1, I contracted with [redacted] of C & L Painting to replace/repair damaged siding on the side of my house, and I paid a $350 deposit (half of the total $700 cost). He has since promised on multiple occasions that he would start the project imminently. On February 13, he sent a guy with an unsafe extension ladder (no rope to raise or lower it), and siding that did not match the rest of the house. Before I noticed those problems, however, I paid him an additional $175, expecting the work to be done that day. He has since promised that he has the correct siding and would start the work imminently, but it is now April 4 and nothing has been done. He is now not answering my emails or voicemail message. I have had to hire another company to do the work, but would like a refund from C & L, as well as removal of the unsafe ladder he abandoned on my property.
