Class 1 Electronics Reviews (1)

Review: Went in to have them check my newly HID headlights installed by a different company because my high beams did not, they claimed they can fix the problem but they would have to order me a whole new set that would cost me $226.57. The set I just put in cost me about $300.00 I told [redacted] (the owner) and he claimed they know what they are doing and that the new motorized kit will work. I made sure to tell I was not into being cool I just need brighter lights on my 08 mountaineer for when my family and I go the dark mountains in the Poconos. He told that he also has a house up that way and he knows what I am talking about. They placed the order for me on JANURARY 11th paid and dropped off my truck the following Friday for the install. I got a call saying that the kit they installed can't work and that they had to put in LEDs for them to work properly. I agreed as long they work, paid an additional $85.00 for the new order. Didn't hear from them at all, so on FEB 14th I went to get my money back and [redacted] claimed they tried to contact me and were no successful and he apologized and begged to finish the job for he guaranteed his work. I dropped the truck off on Tuesday and again NO CALLS until that Saturday asking if I would be getting my car because it only took them 20 mins and the car was just sitting there. I pick up my truck and didn't drive it up until last week and I noticed that the headlights were aiming far right and down, I called and spoke to Manny and he said to bring it and they'll adjust them. I tried dropping it off yesterday 3-22 and [redacted] said that their would be an additional charge of $50.00 labor charge to check them out and because they were already that way before they touched them. I told them NO they were straight I was a automotive tech and I know what I was talking about.Desired Settlement: A complete refund of my money, the service rendered to me was unacceptable, my headlights don't aim where they are suppose at all, my onboard computer keeps coming up with high beam right and left out when I flash use them, I should have stayed with the HIDs that were installed for the at least shined brighter and in the direction

Response:

Thank you for bringing to our attention the situation with Mr. [redacted] .[redacted]. Mr. [redacted] first came to Class 1 asking us to repair an HID headlightjob completed by another shop. The customer stated that the work was poor and‘he refused to return to them because of an argument that occurred. We suggested that the HID headlight kit purchased elsewhere might be defective and we should try a new pair. Mr. [redacted] agreed and we proceeded to installing a new HlD headlight

kit. After the installation was completed the headlights were still not working properly due to the poor wiring which the previous shop had completed. We

then recommended that he upgrade to an LED headlight kit and to repair the poor wiring previously installed. The price difference was $85 for the product and we did not Charge Mr. [redacted] any additional fees for the labor. The customer agreed to the Upgrade and the parts were ordered. When the product arrived lVlr. [redacted] was contacted several times before we received a response. Eventually the 4 customer arrived and after the parts were installed the problem was successfully solved and Mr. [redacted]’ headlights were functioning properly. The customer returned to the store approximately 2 weeks later stating that his headlight were not aligned and asked us to repair the problem. I told him it would be our pleasure but there would be a fee. lVlr. [redacted] stated that his lights were aligned previously and we were the reason they are no longer straight. l explained that there is no way by replacing bulbs and rewiring that the headlights could become unaligned due to the fact that they are screwed in from the bottom and in order to adjust the alignment of the headlights the bumper needed to be remQVed and that is the only reason why lam charging. If it was a simple adjustment I would have completed the alignment free of charge. Obviously this is not the first time Mr. [redacted] has had an issue with a shop
