Clean Home Carpet Cleaning Services Reviews (3)

[redacted] was very personable and explained what he was doing; however, he did not follow through with what we paid for. We paid $225 for a "deep steam cleaning, hot water extraction."

(1) Our house was larger than what he expected and he charged more for that, which I agree with. However, later he mentioned that he was only supposed to be there for 3 hours, so he was not able to go much beyond that, even if it was what was required to adequately clean the carpets.

(2) After [redacted] initial inspection, he did not indicate that he would not be able to remove some stains along the baseboards from the previous owners of the home. Afterwards he basically told us tough-luck, try using Resolve and scrubbing hard. He obviously knew this would likely be the case from his initial inspection of the home, but did not inform us of this.

(3) The carpet barely looked cleaner than before he cleaned them. We borrow a Bisell steam cleaner from a friend and that $150 cleaner pulled out so much more dirt from the floors. [redacted] indicated that any carpet cleaning service would leave floors dirty.

(4) [redacted] says he stands by his work but did not make any concessions for us being dissatisfied with his work. After talking to him on the phone, he actually got very ugly with me and was not willing to discuss how we could resolve this issue. Simply offering to come out to see why we were dissatisfied would have been a good first step. I recommended a partial refund, which greatly offended him.

I would not recommend Clean Homes NC for home carpet cleaning services. I would, however, recommend paying $50 for a Rug doctor and come cleaner or even purchasing a new carpet cleaner (one that you can keep after you have spent $225).

Owner did not disclose the full nature of the service to be provided.Owner said he would clean the carpets of my 3-bedroom rental house for $175. I told him the carpets were not very dirty but there were areas where area carpets were laid. The tenants that moved out did not smoke, own pets, kept the house very clean, and did not wear shoes in the house. He did not disclose that the edges of the carpet would not be cleaned, and he said he would pre-treat any stains. When he arrived at the house on October 4, 2014, he texted me and said that the carpet was in bad shape and that it smelled. I replied that the carpet did not smell, but the recently painted walls smelled bad. He texted he could not promise any miracles. I was out of town, and left him a key to the vacant house. When I inspected the carpet the following day, the carpet was not cleaned well, the light stains were still apparent, and the edges were dark grey in every room. When I contacted him and asked why the edges were not cleaned, he said that would be an extra charge. I sent him $125 and he requested payment several times for the $50 balance. He said he had worked an extra half hour, and almost did not take the job when he arrived. I believe we had a miscommunication and asked him to agree to $125 payment. He said he would take action against me if I did not pay the $50 balance.I agreed to pay the $50 since he threatened me. I have hired numerous carpet cleaners over 15 years, and I have never had such a poor cleaning. The new tenant that moved in commented the carpets were not very clean and she said she would have to purchase spot cleaner and clean the edges and stains herself. I have never had a tenant complain about "professionally" cleaned carpets upon move-in. Desired Settlement$50.00Response to carpet cleaning provided for customer on 10/04/2014.There is and was lack of communication from both parties involved. Clean Home was hired to carpet clean 5 rooms, one hall and staircase for $175.00, customer advised us the carpets had light stains and would be vacuumed when we arrived.Clean Home arrived, found carpet were in bad shape, meaning they were excessively dirty, discolored and damaged, due wear and tear from tenants. There was also a large loft needed to be cleaned and carpets were not vacuumed. The odor was from the carpet not paint, we had to check by smelling carpet, which confirmed it. Several of the rooms had filtration lines, this is an oil and dirt stain, this is an add on due to time and material to clean efficiently.Reason why we contacted customer was to advise that these carpets will not clean well, we can promise no miracles due to the fact carpet is damaged.Customer added on several items and didn't inform of us this, also pushed back the cleaning date 3 days so if had refused the job, they have a half day to find another company to do the cleaning. Their tenant was moving in next day.Job was completed 45 minutes after the scheduled time due to the degree of difficulty of cleaning.Customer did not advise of their displeasure of job, not by phone, email or text. Received a partial payment, when asked customer if there had been a mistake with payment, Clean Home was advised they were lucky to receive any payment at all.Customer was not going to pay but decided later to make a partial payment. Again, they had not made any contact at all with displeasure of service.Clean Home received rest of payment 2 months after job was completed. We advised earlier that if we hadn't received payment, we would need to seek other ways to get monies owed. Clean Home has no idea what type of relationship this property management has other companies. This has nothing to do with our us. If this consumer was so extremely happy with these other vendors why seek elsewhere? Clean House cleaned plenty of carpet in our 7 years of service. That only wrong doing by our company is taking the job. Clean Home will not give flat rates and will refuse any job on site(technician discretion) due to this occurrence.Management
