Gas furnace short cycling, takes 6 or 7 hours to get up to daytime setting
on thermostat. Company charged me $155 to install new digital thermostat (not programmable), saying that would fix it. It didn't, and they returned twice to do two more things, which still didn't fix it. They did not charge for return visits, and were nice people, but my furnace is still not working right. They did not respond to my last message that those visits did not fix it. So, I had to call another company, who are telling me it is a cracked heat exchanger. I don't know if this is correct or not, but apparently this can cause a carbon monoxide problem. I don't feel I should pay two different companies to have the same problem fixed.
