Review: I purchased a 7' Coby Kyros Android 4.0 4 GB Internet Tablet Toushcreen Black MID7034-4 on January **, 2013. The charger port had a defect (not charging). I sent it back on May **, 2013 via US Postal mail with a $15.00 money order to return it when it's done with repairs. There has not been any communication from Coby Company regarding my Tablet. I paid $110.30 for the Tablet , which they still have it. I was told, it could take up to eight weeks before the tablet would be ready. It has now been four months. I have sent e-mails with no response, I made phone calls no return calls.Desired Settlement: Refund my money at this point.

Review: Purchased coby 8' tablet in November 2012. Tablet function for three weeks or so before failing. Paid $15 fee and postage to return unit to coby for warranty work. nearly 10 weeks later, received a replacement unit, dead on arrival. Sent second unit back, have waited 15 weeks still no replacement unit. Called many times, customer service made repeated promises of a replacement unit being sent out. Replacement unit never sent out. Calls to Corporate, ###-###-####, never returned.Desired Settlement: Replacement of tablet with a working version or refund of purchase price, fee and shipping costs.

Review: Coby Electronics Corp has my tablet it was sent in May [redacted] for a cracked screen the instructions stated to send in a money order for $60 & tablet and the turn round is 6 weeks. I have been calling customer service in June ###-###-#### they informed me that the NY warehouse was moved to CA & call back. Just last week I called headquarters in NY there is no one responding to call or returning emails. The customer service agents are not informative about what is going on. How long must I wait to receive my product I need it for work. They stated they upgraded the product for the long wait and they tell me to call back every Monday & Thursday when the shipping list is updated. Today they told me call back after August [redacted]. because they don't have any further information. I asked for another number to headquarters with a extension that works ###-###-#### as usual the ext. did not work & the operator voicemail was full. spoke with [redacted] at customer service & he was rude. So I called back & spoke with [redacted] he offered a number to customer service [redacted] no ext. he said try to find a lady named [redacted] & he wished he had more info for me the last shipping info they received at customer service was July [redacted] & e wished me the best of luck with getting my tablet. My shipping CRT # is [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like my tablet and possibly the return of my $60 because of the extended wait.

Review: My son received a Coby tablet for Christmas in 2012. In April 2013 the charging adaptor inside of the tablet broke off and fell inside. I sent it to the company in April of 2013, I called 4 weeks later and they told me that they did receive it but it had not been processed. I waited 2 more weeks and called again. I was told that they could not fix it and they were out of stock on the one that I had but they were sending us a new one of a different model. I waited 2 weeks and after receiving nothing, I called again. They told me they was moving the warehouse from Georgia to California and it would be sent out soon. It is now August and I still have not received it. I have tried calling the company but they are not returning calls or emails. My son really needs that tablet for schoolDesired Settlement: I would like to get refunded my money so that I can buy a different product that is made by a different company. I also sent them a money order for $15.00 for return shipment

Review: I bought a coby tablet andbefore the tablet warranty expired it wasn't working correctly so I called them several times to see if the problem could be corrected, it couldn't so I was told to send a money order and all parts back to them and it would take 4 to six weeks for a return. it was mailed 4/**/13 and at the least I have made 7 calls and I have been told so many things lke the warehouse was down that the the tablet was definetly there they were waiting for parts ,that it was waiting to be hipped now the number is a recording that gives you 2 numbers 1 number stays busy or it say hang up try it again the other number is not a working number. I had a number to the complaint dept. that number is now another number.I have been patient and now aggravated and running out of options.Desired Settlement: I just don't understand how they can do consumers this way because I have been patient and I have talked to supervisors and never got an answer as to when I would receive my product and all I want is the promise they would send me a new one back.

Review: I mailed my tablet back to your guys for service and I have not received my tablet back nor have I received any update info as to where we are in the process and when I can expect my tablet back. I spent money to ship my tablet to the Carson, Ca. location for service. It arrived and was signed for on June [redacted] 2013 per USPS tracking #. I also included a $15 money order that has not been cashed as of yet. So you actually have my tablet and my money at this time!!!!!!

my tablet was a mid 7065-8 purchased off of [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like my tablet back

Review: The port in the ac adaptor in my daughter's tablet broke in June. She received this tablet 6 months prior to this as a Christmas gift so the tablet was still under warranty. My husband contacted a representative by phone as the warranty paperwork instructed us to do. We did receive an email back saying to ship the tablet back with a $15 money order and it would be replaced within 4-6 weeks. I called on the 5th week and the person I spoke with said to wait and call back in a couple more weeks. I did not wait a couple of weeks, instead I called again on the 6th week and automatically heard a recording that said to go to the Coby website. I called several times that same 6th week and again got the same message. My husband found some different phone numbers and started calling them during the 7th week but to no avail could he talk to someone. Monday, August ** will start the 8th week. My husband has also sent numerous emails to the email addresses we have acquired and again like with the phone service no answers.Desired Settlement: I would just like to speak with someone to find out why it is taking so long to replace this tablet that is still under warranty. If Coby is not wanting to honor the warranty guarantee then I would like my $15 back because my daughter really wants a tablet, but I will not purchase another one from this company.

Review: Purchased a Coby Kyros MID9742 Tablet in January, had a problem in early July. Returned to Toys-R-Us and was told to contact Coby for return. after several e-mails I finally received a call from tech. support. I was e-mailed return instructions. Sent unit back per instruction by UPS. Unit was received and signed for on 7/**/13. Sent several e-mails to check on my return, no response from customer service or tech. support. No answer on 800 phone numbers, local 310 number or 516 NY number. Drove to Carson Ca. address and was told by security guard that [redacted] who signed for my product was laid off along with the rest of the staff at that location. He told me that location is closed and to contact corporate in NY. No answer there either, he in so many words said Coby was out of business. I am now out $229.99 plus tax, $15.00 return cost after "repairs" and have no Tablet.Desired Settlement: want a new Tablet or a full refund

I would also like an explanation of why there was such a delay.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased two kyros 7inch tablets from "[redacted] for Christmas as a gift. One of the tablet charger did not fit into the charger hole. It did not charges the tablet. I tried to return it to the store but they did not have any more left because of the holiday. One of the worker stated that they had an order in but do not know when the shipment will come in.I also, notice on the warranty it states if you have a problem with one of their product don't return it to the store but return it to [redacted] electronics. I called [redacted] and got their return mailing address. I was told to mail the tablet to [redacted] Electronic warehouse in [redacted], Ga alone with a fifth-teen dollars money order. On April **, I mailed the 7 inch Kyros tablet a lone with a fifteen money order to [redacted]. They received it on April **, 2013. A month later I called and spoke someone who informed me that the tablet was not logged in, so on May **, 2013 he got someone to logged it in. From that time on I have been calling customer service and the responses was it in the warehouse but haven't been shipped yet.On July **, I find out the warehouse has closed down and the employees was laid off. Also I called corporate but get no answer.Desired Settlement: I want my money back $149.99 plus tax and shipping fee I paid to ship the tablet and my fifteen dollar money order I give them to ship back to me. Total amount $170.00.

Review: I purchased my son a Coby 10" tablet. The tablet stopped charging after 6 months. The tablet was still under warranty so I called Coby's customer service department and they advised me to mail the tablet to the [redacted] repair center and to include a $15 money order. I mailed the tablet and received confirmation that they received it on May *, 2013. 3 weeks went by, no response so I called the company and was told that they were behind in processing the repair and was advised to call back in a few weeks. 8 weeks later I called. I was told the warehouse is in the process of moving from Savannah to San Diego and was told to call back in a few weeks. Needless to say, when I called back, you couldn't get a representative on phone. I searched the internet and read that the company had gone out business. Coby Electronics, not only kept my son's $300 Tablet, they cashed the money order. This is so unethical and they need to either send the tablet back or send me my money.Desired Settlement: Send my tablet or refund my $300.

Sincerely,

Review: In April 2013, the Coby Kyros tablet's power cord plug broke. I called the company, they told me to send it to the [redacted] repair center. I was to send everything, the box, all accesories, our address, and $15 money order for return shipping. However, we still do not have it back. I have spoken to the company many times, after about 1 month, they finally located our tablet. They then said that we had to wait because they did not have any more of the tablets in stock. I persisted in contacting the tech services (the only number where you could talk to a person), in July the employee said that we were going to get an upgraded tablet. They said that the old model 7036 was not in stock so they upgraded to model 7030. He, [redacted], said that they were shipping out the tablets in the next couple of weeks. That was the last time I spoke with a person. I tried contacting them on Aug. [redacted] and now there is a recording stating that we need to go to the website. The website states we need to call the call center. It is a run around. I have tried calling the headquarters, in New York, mulitple times. Only once have I left a message, however, no one called me back. Now when I call, it says that I need to leave a message. But when I try to leave a message, it states that the voice mail is full. I have emailed but have not had a response. We feel that they took our tablet and money and are hoping we go away. I do have dates, names and the response the employee gave me for documentation.Desired Settlement: To get the Kyros tablet model 7030 sent to us. We would like resolution. If they are not going to send us the product, then we want to be fully compensated. The tablet was for our son, he had it for 3 months then it broke. So not only does it effect us but also my 13 year old son.

Sincerely,

Review: I had sent in a Coby Kyros Tablet for repair over 4 months ago and still have not received it from them. I get no responses from them when I e-mail Consumer Care. The last time I called their service line, I was told the product was ready to be shipped as of July *, 2013, and I would receive it shortly. It has been a month now and still nothing. I was even required to include a cashier's check for $15 to cover the shipment back to me. I called their customer care line today at ###-###-####, and it is a dead end. The number now only refers you back to their web site. There are no options to speak with anybody or leave a message. The few times I did speak with customer service when the phone number did work, the employees were of very little help, and didn't seem to care to resolve the matter.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive what I was promised. A repaired/replaced working tablet like the one I sent in, or an upgraded model if the model I sent in is not available. The company should just send me a newer model to compensate for the complete lack of customer service.

Review: In May we sent a 15 dollar money order and our mid7014 tablet off to be fixed and have not received our product back and it is October **. This was our sons Christmas present this past year and he is very upset that he cant have his tablet back. we have emailed, called and done everything to get in contact with them but have received no feedback whatsoever and never was able to get anyone on the phone.Desired Settlement: we would like to have a new tablet to replace the one that we sent off and have not received.

Review: My name is [redacted]. I purchased a Coby 52" TV from HSN on 10/**/2012. My order number is [redacted]. The TV stopped working sometime ago--likely around February of 2013. I never thoutht that the problem was the TV when the no signal sign came across the TV screen. I have CATV and thought that something was wrong with my cable box that was the real problem. Meanwhile, I remember thinking it odd that I could not get local channels and that there was no static sound. I checked the connections but I could not figure out the problem. Due to my work schedule, it was not until I had Comcast came out to service the box. They determined that the TV was defected in August, 2013.

I did not purchase the extended warranty from HSN. The TV has not been moved or dropped. My wife called Coby a at ###-###-#### per the website suggestion around the end of August. She was advised to visit the website and create a GMail account. She sent a GMail from [redacted] to customer service and to technical support on September **, 2013. I intend to fax a letter to them no later than Monday 10/*/2013 regarding this matter.

According to the terms of the contract regarding their product, someone is to be sent to my home to repar my TV, as it is 52". I have not had any response and I am frustrated by my repeated phone calls to the number--no person ever answers the phone. It is the same frustrating referral to the website.Desired Settlement: To immediately refer someone to my home to fix or replace my TV set. I believe that considering my efforts, I would like a new TV set.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a Coby 55-inch tv on ** November 2012. I researched Coby's website and it stated that if you purchased a 40-inch or higher tv, a service rep would come to your home and try to repair the tv. It also stated that a replacement tv would be sent until the repair is complete. I liked that guarantee. In May 2013, my tv volume would work. I contacted Coby and they stated that they would send me a box to mail the tv to them. I asked them about the guarantee that's on their website stated that a service rep would come to your home and try to repair the tv. The rep stated that the website was incorrect. I proceeded to ask about the replacement and he stated that that was incorrect too. I was very upset with his response. He reiterated that a box would be sent to my residence. Close to a month passed and I did not receive a box. I checked my email and received an email from Coby giving me a UPS label to return my tv. I placed the label on the box and sent to the address they provided on * August 2013. I tracked the package daily to see when they receive it. ** August 2013, I received a notice on my door from UPS stating that Coby's business was not at the address the provided. Several attempts was made by UPS to return the tv for over two weeks.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund to my credit card.

Review: First I bought a Kyros tablet made Coby. The pin in the dc in 5v input has broken off leaving us unable to charge the tablet. Online it states the to get this fixed we have to first call the number provided, ###-###-####, before mailing in the product. When you call it tells you to go online and then hangs up. I also tried to contact the company corporate office by calling the number provided and no luck there either. I also sent an email to the customer support email address and it was returned undeliverable.Desired Settlement: At this point I would like a refund for the purchase amount. If I had a replacement I would just have to worry about this happening again.

Review: I purchased a coby touch tablet from fingerhut that came from coby electronics. when I received the tablet, it did not charge. I contacted fingerhut and I was told I had to return it back to coby. I shipped the tablet in april, coby received the tablet april [redacted]. I have not received a tablet back yet nor can I get a reply from emails. the numbers that are listed for customer service no one answers. the number listed for coby head quarters no one answers. I have left multiple messages. I contacted fingerhut and they are trying to figure out how to contact them also.. I would like some help on this please. I have paid for a touch tablet that I do not have and I am not getting any answers from coby. its been over three months.Desired Settlement: my warranty says coby is responsible for replacing the defective touch tablet. If iam not getting a replacement, I would like to be reimbursed my money I paid for it.

Sincerely,

Review: I received a Coby Android tablet as a Christmas present in 2011. In August of 2013, a password protection popped up on it that I cannot delete, workaround, or resolve. I have tried to get assistance from Coby, but every phone number I try is no help or directs me to the web site, the fax number is obviously a sham, I cannot get anyone at Coby to respond to my numerous emails, and there is no human being that works for Coby who will talk to me or contact me to resolve this issue. In addition, there is no local support, and I cannot even get the problem fixed by taking it to the Geek Squad.Desired Settlement: I just want someone at Coby to act like they give a damn about their products, and to contact me with a solution to the problem. I just want the tablet reset to factory default. That's all I want!

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a Coby Tablet from Walmart for one of my granddaughter's for Christmas. I purchased the 2 year extended warranty. When it quit working, I contacted Walmart. They told me it was still under the 1 year warranty with Coby and would need to contact them. I contacted them by email and they agreed that it was still under factory warranty. They sent me instructions on Coby Returns/Tablet. [redacted] sent me the email. I followed the instructions to return the tablet. USPS tracking shows they received the tablet at [redacted] in [redacted] on May **, 2013. On June **, 2013, I sent an email to [redacted] asking the status of the returned tablet. I had to send several follow-ups before I got a response from someone named [redacted] told me I had to allow 6-8 weeks for me to get the tablet returned. On July **, 2013, I sent a follow up email to [redacted]. No response. I want the Coby tablet I purchased to either be fixed or a new one sent. My granddaughter and I are very disappointed that she doesn't have her Christmas present.Desired Settlement: I want either a new Coby tablet or the one I purchased back in working condition.
