Review: We contracted to have our furniture cleaned and when the representative arrived he also sold us a duct cleaning for an additional $360, but it would be scheduled at another time. When the young man came the next week to clean the ducts he didn't bring the proper ladder to reach our 14 foot ceilings. I called his manager and was told that he would refund the duct cleaning as were now cancelling doing the work as we didn't want to have to reschedule it. He said a check would come the next week. This conversation took place the week of November 15th, 2015, nearly 5 weeks ago and no check has arrived. The total check for all work was $1160.00.Desired Settlement: I want a check for the work that was never completed.

Review: 4/4 called to arrange an appointment for 4/8 to have Coit give estimate (15 min. appt.)to arrange a convenient time to do the work!!! No word as of 8am.Called several times. Was told original person couldn't come and they would try and get someone else out.20 min. later at 10:30-Coit arrived. We were told his pm appt had cancelled and if he could do work today we would receive a discount. It was a HUGE whirlwind. Weren't prepared for work to be done that day.We definitely felt pressured! He left for lunch. We took dogs to kennel & tried to get house ready. Daughter recovering from 3-level back fusion,I had two inflamed disks at the time, etc. We were constantly being upsold!! House is 1430sq ft. The rooms were cleaned "around" furniture. NOT under any tables, etc. One room was not included in the estimate per our request. Basically living/dining combo,stairway, hall, 2 bedrooms. Wanted travertine cleaned & sealed in entry, kitchen (small)& 2 bathrooms.Fair job but NOT sealed!!Thought a dark area in the "natural stone" was a stain--tried scrubbing and left scratched.Horrible job!!! Wanted upholstered sofa cleaned. Fairly good job on that. ALL stains on carpet have returned. Called to talk with manager, [redacted]. Wasn't accommodating except they could come back out!! NOT able to accommodate that! Never returned any of my other calls.SOME discount----$l,323.00!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me??!!! They advertise this fabulous job, price and 40% off. You can't tell me that was 40% off. We had a 3800 sq.ft. home and the entire house was only $500.00!!!!! This just shouldn't be allowed!!Needless to say we are very disappointed with the job itself and their business practices.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund with the exception of the cost of having the upholstered couch cleaned. That is the only thing that is acceptable. We will never use Coit again. I would give amount, but the estimate is so very sloppy, I can't distinguish the amount for the upholstery.Thank you.

Review: We contacted COIT to clean our office and home. This was the worst carpet cleaning we have ever dealt with. The tech who did our house was done in less than 20 minutes leaving our carpets soaking wet. After 3 days of running commercial dryers we vacuumed and could hear debris going threw the vacuum. Our home is 2,000 SQ in the past all other carpet cleaners have taken a minimum of two hours to finish. COIT with one tech finished in 20 min. On top of it, he had the worst attitude. He made a comment on not understanding why COIT had sent him to the job because he only deals with tile, grout and stone. The next day a different tech came to our office, he had a much better attitude but unfortunately we got a equally poor cleaning job. Before the tech started our office I had told him about the house and how quickly the tech had finished. He told me in his words " I have been cleaning carpets for 10 years and consider myself a fast cleaner, there is no way I could do your home in any amount of time less than an hour an a half ". He then told me all work is guaranteed and he would have a manager contact me. " well nobody ever did. We paid our invoice on the spot. Now we get a notice from a collection agency about an amount that has nothing to do with the totals we already paid. COIT, have you seen the reviews for your San Diego Branch? Does your franchise locations have any corporate standards that must be upheld? You should immediately pull the franchising from your San Diego Branch. I have check copies to prove this service was paid in full however I am asking for a refund. I have filed formal complaints with COIT corporate to make sure our complaint is heard loud and clear. Our next step is to file a maximum small claims court case for the damage caused to our homes carpet. This carpet was installed less than a year ago at a cost of $ 11,500 Our carpet smells of mildew ever since COIT . Armed with all YELP reviews I have no doubt this is an easy case to win.Desired Settlement: We want a full refund and want them to contact the collection agency they reported to by mistake. Reporting this as past due is an insult to an already horrible situation.

This customer has not been sent to a collection agency. They were sent a standard form letter from our internal collections.

We have invoice number [redacted] for $423.00 that the customer is asking for a full refund for. This invoice has been paid. Invoice number [redacted] for $240.00 has not been paid according to our records. This is the invoice we are attempting to collect.

A refund for the $423.00 can be made however the $240.00 is still outstanding and would have to be deducted from the $423.00. This would leave a balance of $183.00 that is refundable to the customer.

Review: We had our carpets cleaned on 10-1-2014, We have light colored carpet (off white) and we had many pet stains due to cats and hairballs. We have had our carpets cleaned in the past by several different companies and we have been pleased with the service. My wife heard about coit services and wanted to give them a try. The cost to clean the whole house including deodorizer and guard was $635. After cleaning the next day we were unhappy with the service, none of the spots were removed the master bedroom smelled like mill dew since the carpet was so wet. They sent the same service person to redo the spots. Again we were unhappy and requested someone with more experience since not one spot or stain was removed. On 10-4-14 another rep came out and redid areas of concern. There was marginal improvement but most of the stains remained. Your representative yesterday basically told us they are unable to remove most animal stains as they are permanent. Had we have been told this from the start we would not have hired Coit since we have had success with several carpet cleaning companies in the past. Coit states they guarantee to perform all cleaning to the customer complete satisfaction and if completely not satisfied the will reclean (3 times so far) or refund money paid for the service. We are asking for a complete refund as we are not satisfied with the service.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund this is the worst carpet cleaning experience.

I would like to close this complaint. The company and I have come to a satisfactory agreement. They did try to clean our carpets on 3 separate occasions, however, due to our unusual situation regarding our elderly cats they were unable to clean our carpets to our satisfaction. We are pleased with the companys resolution in trying to provide service to us.

Review: I contacted Coit for carpet and duct cleaning on Friday Novemer 1, 2013. I was told we would receive a free quote for the duct cleaning, and the carpet cleaning would cost between $185.00 and $200.00 for all carpet cleaning services that were going to be performed. I sceduled the service for Friday, November 8, 2013. When the carpet cleaning truck arrived, the technician went right into a "high-pressure" sale tactic determined to up sale us. He was trying to convince us that we needed to clean our tile in the kitchen and told us that our carpet was "old" and he knew a guy that could replace it. His initial verbal quote was $800.00. Please keep in mind that my house is only 1,100 square feet. My husband explained to the tech that was not what we were originally quoted and after several more attempts at increasing his bottom line, the tech gave us a discouted price of $320.00 for the carpet cleaning. We ended up agreeing to this price because at this point we just wanted the service to get done and for the guy to leave. The carpet "service" did not include any pre-vaccuuming or spot pre-treatment. The actual carpet cleaning only involved a quick run through our house with the steam/ spray vaccuum and the overpriced "deodorizer" that did not deodorize. The incredibly poor attempt at cleaning the carpets left us with spots remaining on one of the bedroom carpets. The ducts were then cleaned, however, we found out afterward that the unprofessional "salesman" tech who "cleaned" the carpets was supposed to wait until after the duct service was complete. I attempted to contact the manager of Coit but continued to get the runaround from the call center who continued to either assure me that someone would call me back or on one attempt I was completely disconnected. After about 3 hours I finally was contacted by [redacted], one of the managers. Because Coit claims to have a 100% moneyback guarantee, I told [redacted] I wanted $155 back due to misleading sales tactics, poor customer service, and poor service result from the carpet cleaning. When I explained the tech originally verbally quoted us $800.00, he cut me off by saying I was wrong the he had a copy of the estimate in his hand. [redacted] proceeded to tell me that he was not going to refund me that much money, that he would send another tech out to fix what the first tech apparently could not handle, I told him that I was not going to tie up anymore of my time with his company and that I just wanted the refund of $155.00. In the end he agreed to only refunding me $75.00 which is just a slap in the face.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the remaining $80.00 refund that I originaly requested.
