Colony Dryclearners and Laundry

I used this business approximately two days ago on 3/19/14 and was charged $38 as I had explained the normal dry cleaner I used charged me that. The employee never once said that the charge I paid would only be a part of the total charge. Had I known that, I would not have had them do my laundry. I was under the assumption that they were only charging me $38. When I picked up my clothes on 3/21/14 since I couldn't make it there the prior day, the owner proceeded to tell me that the balance was $46. I was completely floored. He told me that I had 40lbs worth of clothes (2 baskets) and that he charged $2.00 a lb. I told him that was told to me but also I was told that I'd only be charged $38 which I paid so why was I being charged a second time. He told me he wouldn't give me my clothes until I paid so I was FORCED to pay it unwillingly. I am shocked at the lack of customer service and shear rude behavior this business has.Product_Or_Service: Drycleaning & laundryDesired SettlementI would like this business to refund the $50 I paid today since I was not told clearly that I would have a balance upon pickup. Had I known this, I would have NOT done my business with them. Business Response According to our records we responded to the first letter by mail. After receiving the second letter we tried to log on and the access code was wrong and the icon would not aloud . Our response was that the customer got a quote for $2.00 per lb, after cleaning the total weight was 40lbs bringing the price to $80.00. The customer left partial payment of $38,00 and was asked for the balance and he was not willing to pay. He then paid the difference and filed a complaint. Since he was given the price quote before leaving we feel justified in our billing.
