Dear Mr. [redacted]As you know we are currently working on your vehicle to resolve all of the issues that currently exist. Our goal is to correct these items and have your vehicle back to you as quickly as possible. As we have stated, our goal is for complete customer satisfaction and we believe we...

will resolve all of these issues to your satisfaction. In the mean time we have provided you with a loaner vehicle while we fix yours. We will notify you as soon as your vehicle is complete and ready for pick up. Please contact us if you have any further questions.Sincerely,The Team at Colussy Chevrolet

Mr. [redacted] purchased this truck from us on 12/22/2014. And as of 3/9/2017 the truck has over 46,000 miles on it. The truck that he purchased is a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 heavy duty plumber's truck with a utility body on the back. This truck originally came from [redacted] Equipment Company, which is...

a local distributor of these utility body trucks. We have worked with Mr. [redacted] several times regarding his concerns. When the issue was first brought to our attention we took the truck back to [redacted] to have them addressed. [redacted] repaired the few points of contact where there was rust. The rust Mr. [redacted] is referring to is minor bleed through coming from a few weld points on the utility body installed on the back of the truck, which [redacted] Equipment says is normal and does not effect the integrity of the truck at all. This rust can be wiped away with a towel. We have complied with Mr. [redacted]'s requests to have his concerns addressed. We have also offered to help him get a new truck if he is unhappy with his current one. The truck is definitely powder coated, we did not sell him a false product as he stated. Please see documentation attached. We are willing to work with Mr. [redacted] again to deal with his concerns in hopes to try and resolve this to his satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:TThe serial number that they provided does not Match my truck.  Not even close.  We have grey primer under the paint that is on my truck.  Even the repairs were not made with powder coat.  The repairs were not done correctly if anything.   And they do not just wipe off some do wipe off but others don't.  When I purchased this vehicle I voiced my concern to Barb my sales Lady about this body because I never owned one.  She assured me this wouldn't happen repairs made with paint that are already bubbling and not correct
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In response to our customers statements regarding the repair of the 2012 Kia Sportage with 115443 miles on the odometer. We did receive the car on 5/3/16 for repairs from a deer hit accident. The repair came to us through [redacted] Insurance. We did not say that the car was in perfect running condition...

when it was in the repair process. Our technicians do remember that the vehicle was not running smoothly as they would move it from one part of the shop to another during the repair. On 5/6/16 when the repair was complete and the vehicle was being cleaned it quit running completely and would not restart. Our techs tried to diagnose what the problem was and noticed that there was a wiring harness under the top engine cover that had been pulled apart and that had exposed wires. They did not know what had caused this as they had not worked on this area of the car at all during their repair. It was stated to the customer that we did not know what caused this but that one theory would be that some small rodent could have gotten in to this area and chewed the wires. Over the years repair shops like ours have seen this but it is not that common. These disturbed wires could also have been caused by someone who had previously worked on the engine too. We did not believe that it was accident related. We got the customers permission to take the vehicle to our sublet mechanical shop to try to diagnose what the running issue was – the customer agreed to this. It was diagnosed as having a possible timing chain issue and would need to go to a Kia dealership for this. We paid for the tow to the sublet shop and to the Kia dealership and paid the diagnoses charge from the sublet shop as a goodwill gesture. We explained to the customer what had been found so far and again got his permission to have it towed to [redacted] Kia. The Kia dealer found that the timing chain tensioner was maxed out and was not holding tension causing the engine to be out of time. They stated that the timing chain and tensioner needed to be replaced to get the car running. They also advised us that there was some metal shavings in the engine oil which could indicate previous internal engine damage and that the wiring issue would need looked at, once the car was running. We advised the customer of this and they agreed to let the Kia dealership replace the tensioner and chain but did not want to spend any further money on addressing the wiring issue. We told the Kia dealership to proceed with the repair on the Timing Chain which they did and we picked up the car from Kia and our tech who drove it back said it was running fine. We advised the customer that the vehicle was done and that the total bill due was $1350 which was his $500 deductible from the collision repair and $850 charge from Kia for the repair work which he authorized us to have done. The customer was reminded that Kia was advising that there may still be issues with the wiring but the customer elected not to have anymore work done. The car was delivered back to the customer on 5/20/16 in running condition. This is an unfortunate situation but the work that we performed had nothing to do with the mechanical problems the vehicle is having.

We have resolved this issue with Mrs. [redacted]. We have taken care of her concerns. She left our business satisfied. The issue regarding Mrs. [redacted]' warranty is that her warranty and vehicle were not purchased through a GM dealership and it is not a GM warranty. This warranty company does not cover all...

items of the vehicle and does not pay full repair prices for certain repairs. We were able to contact her warranty company and negotiate for better coverage for her on this repair. Therefore she was satisfied with the work and the deductible she paid.

Attached is the correct invoice stating that Mr. [redacted]s truck is powder coated. I've highlighted the correct serial number. The previous invoice was an oversight on our part. At this time we are going to further review this situation and decide whether there is any more action that can be made.

Review: The Kia was in an accident involving a deer hit. The primary damage was body: Fenders, doors, hood, mirrors, bumper, trim, ect.. The accident happened on 4/29/16. Insurance company is [redacted]. the car was taken to The insurance adjuster at Colussy on 5/3/16 and estimate and repairs started from there. The repairs were completed on 5/6/16 but when the repairs by Colussy were finished the car would not start or run. The Kia was running perfect before it went in for repairs and while the repairs were being done. It stopped running when the repairs were complete, Tom at Colussy confirmed that. Colussy kept saying a "rodent" ate through the wiring harness but would not take any responsibility even though the car was in their possession when the problems started. They took almost 2 more weeks with the car and finally transferring the car to Kia to get fixed. They repaired the timing belt. Colussy charged me for all the repairs. It was taken to [redacted] and Colussy for accident repairs with was supposed to be a $500.00 deductible. In order for me to get my car back from Colussy the charge was $1350.00.

The car is still broken down. I paid $1350.00 to receive a car back from them that was so much worse than when it was dropped off. I didn't receive the vehicle back until 5/20/16. Colussy has claimed they didn't do anything mechanical to the vehicle even though they did work on and under the hood and under the car. Also, if a rodent had eaten the wiring harness wouldn't there have been signs of that before being at Colussy for several days? Can't the impact of an accident cause mechanical damage? Colussy is denying any responsibility even though the vehicle was in their possession when everything happened. Colussy and [redacted] have said that I should contact Kia and it is basically not their problem. The car has not been repaired and still does not run. On a different note the body work Colussy did from the accident is Superb, It looks awesome, but I need it for more than looks.Desired Settlement: Car repaired to operate the quality it did when Colussy and [redacted] took possession of it. Refund of money to repairs that were done that did not fix the car but were charged and marked-up by Colussy anyway.

Review: Went to Colussy Chevrolet Service Department for warranty work and have an extended warranty that I just have to pay $100 deductible. Went the service person came out to me to tell me what all needed fixed and the cost it was going to be six hundred some dollars. When I questioned why that much and not just $100 I was told that the warranty company does not use the same service "book" as Colussy so I have to pay the difference. I was just there 7 months ago and only paid $100 deductible. They are not willing to change anything. I had to pay $373 yesterday instead of $100 and still have work that has to be done, but I could not afford to have it done. I don't think this is fair. One of the issues that I have to have fixed is one that I have had the car to them 4 times so far and have paid the deductible each time and it is not resolved yet.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded $273 and have the other issue fixed correctly at no charge to me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: My vehicle was involved in an accident and was taken to the purchase location to be repaired. After my vehicle was returned Nearly half of the issues from the accident were not repaired. Moreover the service center billed my insurance company for the repairs not made. My vehicle has been back multiple times with no resolution. The service center also chared me personally for items already repaired. When I refused to pay they would not return my vehicle. One year later and I still have an unrepaired and unsafe vehicle.Desired Settlement: I would like my entire loss to be made whole and all repairs completed.
