My wife and I contracted Complete Music to be our DJ for our wedding 10/12/13. Our first meeting with CM was in April 2013 with a DJ [redacted] who seemed to fit our personality and style, and given the good fit, we made our initial deposit and requested he DJ our wedding. About a month later the DJ we requested quit his job requested that he be allowed to personally inform his clients of the change. The owner [redacted] denied this request but promised [redacted] he would personally let the clients know in the next week or two. [redacted] did not inform us unil 4 months later (1 month before our wedding), after we paid our remaining bill of $750. He did this because in the contract we signed in April, it states we can cancel the contract if it is more than 45 days prior to the event, otherwise money paid will not be refunded. He waited until 30 days before our wedding and after we paid our money so we had no way of getting our money back. He then lied to us about the timeframe and reason for [redacted] departure, stating "[redacted] recenlty became ill in the last 2 weeks and won't be able to DJ your wedding." We called [redacted] and [redacted] informed us he was never sick, he quit 4 months earlier, and everything we were told was a lie. [redacted] was rude on the phone with each member of my family he spoke with, he refused to empathise, and said "Good luck getting any money back." I've worked with many small businesses through work and personal life, and I am a pretty down-to-earth guy, but I can say I've never worked with a business that uses undermining business practices like this and an owner that rude and at times downright mean. I wish I had met the owner before making our initial deposit because I deeply regret doing business with this company and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your DJ needs.

Review: My daughter, [redacted] and I met with a DJ from Complete Music back in March of 2013 to decide if we wanted to use him for her October 12, 2013 wedding. After an hour of interviewing [redacted], we decided that he was the PERFECT fit for her wedding. She sent in a deposit of $150.00 to Complete Music to reserve [redacted] for her wedding. Thirty days before her wedding my daughter sent in her final deposit of $625.00 to Complete Music, for a grand total of $875.00. Two weeks before her wedding the owner of the company, [redacted] contacted my daughter to tell her that she would be having a different DJ for her wedding. She was told that [redacted] had health issues and could not service her wedding. She was very upset. On Monday, October 7th, she met with another DJ from Complete Music. She was very disappointed and really wanted to [redacted]. That evening, I call the owner [redacted] to explain how upset my daughter was over the situation. When I asked to have [redacted], he told me he was sick with health issues. I pressed the issue and asked [redacted] for [redacted]'s phone number. He refused to give me his phone number and finally admitted that he no longer worked for his company, but would give me no other details. I told [redacted] that he should have contacted my daughter earlier before she sent in her final payment to tell her that her choice DJ, no longer would be able to DJ her wedding. He was very very obnoxious. I told him we wanted our down payment refunded if we had to have another DJ and he refused. Through my own investigation, I tracked [redacted] down that evening and was SHOCKED by what he told me. He was not having health issues like [redacted] told me and he actually quit Complete Music back in April of 2013, shortly after we met with him. Way before my daughter sent in her final payment, maybe even before she sent in her first down payment of $150.00. We would have NEVER stayed with Complete Music had we known [redacted] had left, and that's EXACTLY why [redacted] never notified us of the situation. Had he contacted us, we would have written a Cancellation Letter to him, even if we would had lost our initial deposit. It is our understanding we could have cancelled within 45 days prior to our event, according to the contract. But, we NEVER had the chance, because [redacted], during the 4 months between [redacted] quitting and our grace period to cancel, NEVER told us our DJ had left his company, despite [redacted] request to do so. We spoke with [redacted] and he informed me that he specifically asked [redacted] if he had contacted all his upcoming jobs to let them know that [redacted] would not be performing the service and [redacted] had told him he did. [redacted] is nothing but a BALD FACE LIAR. I truly hope you will be able to help us recover our payment in full. [redacted] is a despicable business man, that used bait and switch practices. Thank you very much.Desired Settlement: To recover ALL of our money $825.00
