This office was very quick to tell me they accepted state insurance and was also able to see me right away as I was in quite a bit of pain. When they saw me the first time the tooth was so badly infected that they could not get me numb. Rather than listen to me say "Stop!" the dentist proceeded to drill through a live nerve while I screamed in my chair. I was sent home with a prescription for abx and two weeks later when the prescription was done I called the office to inform them that the infection had not lessened. I asked to talk to the Dr. regarding a different/ stronger antibiotic and was told I needed to come into the office to speak to the Dr. When I arrived the doctor became indignant that I didn't want work done- that I had the nerve to schedule an apt. just for "talking". He proceeded to ignore my concerns and belittle me with his "I'm the Doctor, that's why!" attitude. He insisted that even though the pain had not in any way lessened, but in fact had increased- that didn't mean that the infection wasn't gone. I left feeling defeated and really dreading the next appointment knowing that if the infection prevented being numb before, I would not be numbed again. Before my next scheduled appointment the pain became unbearable and I ended up needing an appointment outside of office hours. When I arrived the doctor proceeded to inform me how little he actually gets paid to see me and how screwed over he is because I was a state patient. He actually took the time out of his schedule to show me how little he got paid for seeing me as opposed to what someone with private insurance paid him. He completely degraded me as a "poor" person. He was able to get my tooth partially cleaned out but informed me that I needed a root canal. (Something insurance doesn't pay) I informed him that I did not have the money to get a root canal so I was going to need the tooth pulled. He argued with me and placed a temporary filling in the partially cleaned out tooth. A month later that infection moved into my sinus cavity because he did not thoroughly clean out the infection before placing the temp filling. When I came back to his office in pain, the Doctor proceeded to inform me that he wasn't going to pull that tooth, that I needed to borrow money from churches and beg for money from my family so I could get a root canal. I told him I did not have access to that and asked him to please pull my tooth. He refused and then decided to look at my ex rays and tell me (forgive my language here- his words, not mine) that I have done a sy job taking care of my teeth. Since when was it professional or even acceptable to cuss at your patients? I declined further treatment from this dentist and would encourage ANYONE with state pay insurance to stay FAR FAR away from him! Not only did he treat me horribly but he also lied about what state insurance would cover because he didn't want to have to perform those services at a lower rate. If you have private insurance- he is probably a capable provider but his only motivation is money. A news flash: If you don't like state patients, don't agree to be a preferred provider for the state pay dental program!

I recently went to Condon Dentistry after I had a month of consistent tooth pain. I chose to go here because my usual dentist of 25 years didn't accept my new insurance. When I arived I was told I needed to get 18 x-rays which I felt was a bit overkill but went along with it and figured they just didn't have any history on me and that's how the x-Rays would assist them in knowing the status of my dental situation. After the x-Rays and a cleaning the dr. came in and took a quick 5 min look in my mouth and said everything looked good and was going to send me out the door. I then asked him to take a closer look at the area I had the pain; after another very quick look he told me I had a crack in my tooth and I would need a build up and a crown which coincidentally my insurance wouldn't cover. The price for this procedure was over $1200 and he said I needed to come back A.S.A.P. to get this done. This being my first interaction with him I decided to get a second opinion from my dentist of 25 years. I saw my dentist the following day and he spent a good 20 minutes investigating the area of pain. He came to the conclusion that all that was wrong was that I have the start of a receding gum line and have been clenching my teeth, and this is what is causing the sensitivity. My dentist said all I need to do is use a fluoride toothpaste for sensitive teeth, use a mouth guard at night to counteract the teeth clenching, and stay away from any whitening products. After three weeks of following this regime I can say the pain has almost completely subsided. It blows my mind thinking I could've gone through that very invasive procedure when I didn't need it at all...just makes me wonder how many other patients he is giving false information to just to earn a buck. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Condon Dentistry to anyone, do you research if you are a patient of his/are going to be seeing him.
