Work was not performed per contract. Wanted more money to complete job.On August 8, 2016 Mr. Rooter stated in his contract that he would re-pipe the water line from the meter to the house. The contract stated that they would abandon old pike in ground and dig a trench from from the meter to the house. The contract that he would run the new line thru the foundation on the side of the and connect with the existing line under the house. Contract stated that installation of new pex piping. Warranty is 10 years. Mr. Rooter collects a deposit on work to be performed. Deposit was 50% or what is determined by the technician. Per contract they would begin process of ordering materials, getting permit and calling loco, etc. Deposits is non refundable. Deposit 8/10/2016. Ck [redacted] Amount $1,750.00Desired SettlementI would like **. Rooter to return all monies. Mr. Rooter is in breach of our contract. Services as stated in the contract were incomplete and was unsatisfactory.Business Response Tech arrived at customers house and she told the tech that she had a high water bill. Tech told her he was going under the house to look and she said no need to that another plumber has already done that and there was no leaks. At that point the tech was thinking why did she call me if another plumber has already been here. So he then went and looked at the meter and saw it was spinning and that the lines were galvinized pipe. He gave her a price to replace the main water line with no gaurantee that would solve her problem being the house was 100 yrs old. We replaced the water line to the house and found 3 leaks showed the customer what we found. The water line was inspected by county inspector with approval. We proceeded to turn the water back on to find the meter spinning. So at that point we knew there were more leaks. We traced the line to find 3 different kinds of pipe. All the pipe was buried in the ground and the soil was sand so you couldn't see the leaks. So the next logical step was to replace the rest of the water lines. We gave her a price because this was more than the original scope of work. The plumbing system is extremely old and things don't last forever. The customer only paid us 1/2 and refuses to pay anymore. We did all we could to fix her problem.
