My family went to Cordova Bowling Center Saturday, January 30, 2016. I paid for 2 games. Midway through the 1st game, my elderly mother and kids got tired and didn't want to play a second game. When we were done I told the people we didn't want the second game. The lady at the counter refused to give me my money back. We have been to Cordova Bowling many times as a family and I have received a refund on a game before. I told the lady at the counter this but she still refused the refund saying "That's been the policy in the year she 's been there." She only offered 5 free games the next we bowl (not including shoes, of course). I didn't ask for a refund for the numerous times we had to call for assistance for balls that wouldn't return. We didn't bowl the second game so I just wanted a refund for that game. My kids are in a league at Cordova Bowling Center. We are there every week and I am simply asking for a refund for a game we did not play.Product_Or_Service: 2 games of bowling including shoes for 3 adultsDesired SettlementI want a full refund for the second game, which we did not play. Business Response My name is [redacted], regarding refund on prepaid games, our current policy is to not refund any money out of the cash drawer. Instead we offer free game coupons of full value to the customer that is requesting the refund. Attached to this letter is a copy of this notice to our customers regarding this issue. This notice this attached to the back of the register at our customer service counter. Please note that this policy has been in effect since April, 2003. If Mrs. [redacted] has receive any refunds in the past fore game paid for, the person when help her was incorrect in refunding cash money. the only people who are authorized to refund money are myself, [redacted] and the center manager. our employee should have informed her that if she was not satisfied with the coupon offer the manager or myself would be happy to call her on the next work day.. we appreciate the support the family has shown in the past and look forward the their support in the future. To respect any customer relations that we have with Mrs. [redacted] we are willing to issue a refund for these games this time, however in the future we will be adhering to our standard policy in effect at that time. we are sorry that this issue occurred, and we will be attempting to give the best best customer service available, as we have tried to do in the past. if there are any question regarding this matter, please call me.Sincelry,Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I do accept their resolution. A refund for the game we did not play was my request. I would like to know when to expect the refund and if it will be applied to the card I used or issued in some other way.
