Sent: Wednesday, July 27, 2016 4:49 PM Subject: Revdex.com Case # [redacted] I have received the complaint made by Ms. [redacted] regarding the refund of a deposit and fee's that were sent to collections. Below is our response. Ms. [redacted] [redacted], previous last name on file is...
[redacted], signed the Texas Apartment Association Lease Contract with T[redacted] Apartments on December 11th 2013 (Please see attached). At this time [redacted] paid a $175.00 Sure Deposit, this is a non-refundable deposit that is paid to the company Sure Deposit/Assurant. The Sure Deposit document that [redacted] signed on 12/11/2013 specifically states that this is a not a security bond and will not be returned at the end of the lease (the document is attached for review). I have reviewed the file/lease contract and do not show another deposit was given. If Ms. [redacted] can provide a copy of a security deposit we will be able to offset the amount against what is currently due. The lease contract states in paragraph 3 that a 60 day notice is required before move-out. The file states that Ms. [redacted] "skipped without notice" - there is no notice in the file that I can see to prove otherwise. I have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and requested proof of a written 60 day notice. When provided we will reevaluate the charges that were sent to the collection agency and make the necessary adjustments. Attached you will find the following documents for review: 1. Signed TAA Lease Contract 2. Signed Sure Deposit form 3. Final Account Statement Laura K[redacted] | Director of People Services | Mosaic Residential
