Coulter Nissan Reviews (14)

Shady!!! Do not go here to purchase a vehicle. On 04/23/2015 at around 430 pm, I stopped by Surprise Coulter Nissan to look at the Titans. I really didn't see anything I liked on the lot, so the sales person says he has a 2014 Titan with around 12,000.00 miles in the shop. He said an employee backed the vehicle into a pole at the store. The sales person then proceeds to tell me there was sufficient damage to the vehicle, so the entire bumper was being replaced. The sales person then tells me he would call me tomorrow (4/24) when the vehicle was back on the lot. Sure enough I got a call the next day. The vehicle was on the lot, so I went down there. At this point, I was working with another sales person at the dealership. We eventually find the vehicle in the back of the lot. I take the vehicle for a test drive, and I really like it. I start running numbers with the sales person, and the numbers just aren't working for me. This is when the shadiness begins. The manager comes over with the sales person. We are talking some numbers, and then he proceeds to show me the [redacted] to the vehicle. He says this vehicle is spotless. It only has 11,000.00 miles on it and it has a clean [redacted]. This gentleman knew this vehicle had been damaged. I really didn't care that the bumper had been changed out. I would have purchased the vehicle if the numbers were right. I immediately challenged the manager about the [redacted], and to be real honest he didn't know what to say. He didn't know I knew the vehicle had been damaged. Not a great way to treat a repeat customer. I just bought a vehicle from them in 2014. Don't do business with them. I'm going to call the Revdex.com and some other agencies on Monday. Who knows what else they do there!!!!!!!

I bought a used, low mileage Suzuki, (Nissan) p/u in mid Oct in clean, shiny condition. I didn't realize until much later, maybe a month or so, that I noticed dozens of hailstones dents that weren't noticed in sunlight. Apparent, tho, in afternoon shade. I was highly disappointed in their lack of integrity for not telling me. Thank you.

I recently helped my 20 year old daughter purchase her first new car. I contacted Coulter Nissan through their internet inquiry services. My initial contact person called me right away and I explained to her what we were trying to accomplish, we were trying to get my daughter a new car and keep her payments at a certain number. I was told that we were on the right track for that number with the car we had chosen. I set up an appointment for Saturday morning for my daughter to look at the vehicle and go from there.

On Friday morning before her next day appointment, I received a call from a different Coulter employee stating that it was the last day of the month, Coulter had a certain quota to meet and if my daughter could come in on Friday instead of Saturday they could make her a smoking deal. I was told the sales managers were making “crazy deals’! I asked if I could speak to the sales manager to confirm what our discussion about price and payments were to be set at. I was told that the sales manager was really busy at the moment and couldn’t take my call but not to worry just have my daughter come on in and they would take care of her. I explained to her that I didn’t want anyone’s time to be wasted, that’s why I wanted to speak to the sales manager, once again I was assured that we would get the deal done without any problems.

When my daughter arrived, she was greeted and immediately taken out to see the vehicle and offered a test drive. The car was just as described and was a very nice car that is except for the price. Not only did they not meet the payment criteria, the payments were going to be almost $100.00 over what was discussed! Not only did they not try and lower the price to give us a “crazy deal” they actually raised it almost $800.00 over the listed internet price! My daughter called me very upset and put the sales manager on the phone with me (as I live out of state and could not be there in person) When I explained the whole situation to the sales manager, he said he may have been busy but not too busy to take my call. He then explained to me he could have told me at that time that what I was being told by the internet inquiry team was false and could have saved us all a lot of trouble. At this time I directed my daughter to get up and walk out. I found her the same car in the same shape at another nearby dealership and they were able to meet all the terms we had listed.

So what I’m guessing is, apparently it's the job of the people that are working the Coulter internet chat windows to tell the customer whatever it is they want to hear to get them into the dealership and then start the old pressuring a person into a sale. To me this is like a bait and switch scam and is bad business and it will hurt Coulter in the long run.

One more thing, it’s not like there was a financing issue. I had already obtained our own loan with USAA so it was a matter of negotiating a price and handing them the check. It was the same as a cash deal to the dealership.

Needless to say, I will never step foot into a Coulter dealership and I will tell everyone I know to so the same.

The dealership is required to send this letter to a consumer if their credit was pulled and we were not able to make a deal with the consumer. Though I definitely see the consumers frustration in receiving this letter we are only following the guidelines that are put on us as a dealer to stay...

compliant. I have attached the guidelines that explains that these letters must be sent out. It clearly states that we as a spot delivery dealer in our state need to send these Adverse Action Letters to the consumer. Please contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,

Rich D[redacted]

On January 18th., 2016 I had a very poor quality experience with a Coulter Nissan sales rep. I had called and asked for a specific car they had for sale, even included the stock #, and the said that it was available and that they would love to show it tome. I mentioned that I was 3 hrs. away and needed to know for sure so I wouldn't drive in vane. They assured me that they would be waiting for me. After driving 3 hrs. I show up to find out that "They just sold it" even though I had receives a confirmation call from them on my way over there. I asked my daughter to call asking about the car since it still showed as available on their web page and they pulled the same one on my daughter. They wanted her to go see it, they called her 4 different times asking when she would be there to see it. finally she explained to the what had happen to me and they simply hung up on her after realizing they had been busted in their little scheme. what a sorry excuse for a dealership, unprofessional, rude. they will never have my business or any other that I can influence on. Those people need to grow up and be more professional.

I have had MANY problems with Coulter Nissan. On my last visit we gave them a POOR Review. I called today and was told that there was NO credit which I had incurred during the last 2 visits. Fortunately I have the last receipt which shows the credit. I'm guessing since I was HONEST and gave a poor review the credit was coveniently lost! I have had a great deal of problems with this Nissan Dealership. Bring many questions. I would NEVER refer any one to go here. This has put a bad taste for the Nissan company. I called to speak to a supervisor today and 3 hours later no call back.

My experience went from an awesome to the worst experience ever!!! My husband and I went into dealership to look at the 2015 Nissan Armadas. The salesman Jason was awesome. We informed Jason were just looking at the time, because we had just refinanced our home and had to wait a few days for it to be finalized. We also knew the payoffs would not show up on credit report right away and we explained this to the salesman. He then brought in his Manager Brian and the Manager said it was not a problem and s**med to only be concerned with our credit rating. So… once our refinance to our house was finalized, we returned to buy the vehicle we wanted. I informed the Salesman of the rates my credit union was offering for a new vehicle loan and told him I would like to finance through the credit union because they s**med to have better new car loan rates. I did not tell them we were pre-approved. I just told them of the interest rates for new car loans. When we went in to Finance to do the paperwork, the finance person Isiah said he could give us a better interest rate through Tru West and because of the lower interest rate,…he would be able to add Gap insurance and an extended warranty to the loan for a few dollars more. We agr**d to the terms and signed the paperwork. Then approximately 2 ½ w**ks later, my husband received a phone call stating they n**ded to get in touch with me to sign a document. My husband informed them I worked two jobs and would not be able to make it to dealership until the following w**kend. So then they wanted to send someone out to m**t me where me where I was employed, but no one ever called to make the arrangement. My husband called and started to ask questions about the paperwork and come to find out it was a new contract with a higher interest rate! I was infuriated because we were upfront from the very beginning and they did not s**m to care the payoffs not showing and now they wanted a new contract because my debt to income ratio was too high because the payoffs were not showing on credit report yet. I informed the Finance person Isiah that I refuse to sign a new contract and told him I could not believe how they conduct business and they better fix this problem or give me my old vehicle back and I would go buy elsewhere. I called and left messages for both Finance Managers Alan W[redacted] and Dana L** and no one ever called me back. I then left message for General Manager Rich D[redacted] and did not received a phone call back. At the end of the day the finance person TEXTED me and told me the problem had b**n corrected. I was still dissatisfied that none of the Managers ever called me! I put in a call to Coulter Cadillac, which has the same owner as Coulter Nissan and left a message for the owner’s assistant Ruth and am I waiting to hear from her or someone who cares how we had b**n treated. I f**l I should be a valued customer. We have bought a CTS Cadillac from Coulter Cadillac and two Harley Davidson Motorcycles from Arrowhead Harley and now an Armada from Coulter Nissan. The same owner owns all these dealerships and we had never received such bad service! We are so disappointed and we will never do business with this dealership again.

I will never ever take my titan back to Coulter Nissan for service. I believe the tech's name was [redacted] or [redacted] - but someone needs to send him to schooling for customer service traits. He was so rude and made be feel ignorant. He kept saying "I din't understand". My battery checked out good. He told me it was probably a module or starter issue. I drove down from 32nd Str & Baseline. He said he would charge me $ 135 to diagnose the problem. REALLY??!!!! WOW...what a joke!! The only problem with the truck was the grounding of the battery.....

I dropped my vehicle off and was told that my extended warranty would not cover the repairs. I called multiple times and left voicemails only to not have my phone calls returned. I finally was able to get my hands on the estimate for work repairs. I was astonished when I was told directly by my extended warranty company that a formal claim was never filed by this dealership. I contacted coulter again and they stated that the repairs were not covered. On multiple occassions they lied, they were not only not polite but did not offer solutions to my problem. At this point in time I refuse to have them do any work on my vehicle. I bought this vehice not even a year ago and cannot believe I have been treated in this manner.

The car buying process was great, the service has been a complete nightmare. I will never utilie this dealership again!

Review: I believe Coulter Nissan engaged in false (bait / switch) advertising. They ran an ad in The AZ Republic 3/06/16 advertising several new 2016 Nissan Versa's at a sale price of $8,977.00 I wanted to purchase one. Because they weren't yet open, I emailed them indicating I was indeed a (cash) buyer, and I would like to know what the tax, license, Coulter package (terms listed in the ad) would be, so I could arrange funds to make the purchase. I missed their return call at 10:42 A, but called them back at 10:58, explained I wanted to buy the advertised car and wanted a total, again I was told Cheyenne (internet sales person) was busy, but someone would call me back. No one did. I again called at 1:41P, got a different sales person, explained the situation and asked for the total and was told someone would call back, which they did at 1:51 to tell me the vehicle I wanted was sold but they had "others", I said I would accept a different color, just wanted to buy the sale item and needed a total so I could buy it. Sales lady assured me someone would call back THEY DID NOT Following Monday, I called at 10 A and talked with Cheyenne, who apologized for not getting back and said she would get the total and call me right back. Never did, at 11:50A I again called and her phone was forwarded to a different persons, I left a voice message and again emailed Cheyenne telling her I WANTED TO BUY THAT CAR. After no reply before closing time I emailed her again conveying my displeasure. I NEVER recieved a call/email/ or explanation. I can only deduce that they NEVER intended to sell these cars at their advertised price, which in my many years in business, seems like FALSE ADVERTISING, or BAIT & SWITCH, at best. I can not imagine how the Revdex.com can give an A rating to a business that engages in these false, misleading tactics. I have never made a Revdex.com complaint, but Coulter Nissan's tactics go way beyond reputable and honorableDesired Settlement: Simply sell the product that THEY ADVERTISED ....at the price THEY ADVERTISED...

I purchase by vehicle on 2-7-1015 with cash. I received a phone call recently asking how I was going to pay for my car. I responded by saying :Is this a joke? I paid cash for my car!" I was furious. Supposively, papers where missing about the purchase of my car. I went in the next day to resolve the matter, but apparently, the papers where still missing. About 6 hours later the papers where found. Thank goodness!. I was still livid about the whole situation.. They said this was the first time it happened to them.

Also, we were told the speedometer had 60,000 miles on it. After we drove the car home, the reading on the speedometer said 68,000.

The dealership had a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for sale on elevated platform at the front of the dealership. The selling price was clearly marked with large numbers on the windshield. I take the car for a test drive, went to go close on the order, and they inform me the price was actually $7,000 more than what was listed. I consider this a bona fide case of bait and switch, they would not sell me the vehicle as displayed for the price shown. They attributed the error to teenagers that go around changing prices on vehicles. Funny how it was not noticed, on her vehicle that was prominently displayed on an elevated platform at the front lot. No apologies, just tried to sell me the vehicle at the suggested retail price, which was much higher of course. I don't recommend anybody making purchases from this dealership.
