Craven Tire made EVAP repairs (Check Engine light). Next day check engine light came on again and stayed on. CT refuses to make warranty repairs.
On 12-21-19 I had my car at Craven Tire to see about the Check Engine light staying on. They ran the analysis and made repairs, which cost $705.75. The next day the Check Engine light started coming on again. A week or so later Craven Tire checked it out. ***, the manager, said it is different error codes, so the repairs won't be covered by their warranty. He said nine times out of ten, when he replaces a leaking EVAP part, another part starts leaking shortly after - not Craven Tire's fault. I was not told this when I authorized the original work. One of the codes indicated on this return visit was a faulty gas cap - he did not explain how this could have happened one day after the repairs.
Invoice Order #***. I emailed Craven Tire through the link at Revdex.com.org with no response. Then I emailed directly at ***.com on 1-13-20 with no response. I would like the repairs done on a warranty basis or a refund of the original payment. A refund would be preferred since I no longer have confidence in this business and would prefer not to deal with them again.

We have tried many times to explain the situation to Mr.. The original problem that the vehicle had came in for had 6 trouble codes in the computer. that issue was resolved with our repair. Mr. had returned with a separate issue about a week later and we had advised him it was a seperate single code not related to the original problem at all. We cannot predict a vehicles future problems and we can only warranty parts and labor of items that we have worked on. The original repair is complete and a verified fix, and Electronic parts are non returnable once installed.
Craven Tire diagnosed the "Check Engine" light problem and made repairs. I did not make the diagnosis. The next day the light came back on. About a week later the light was still staying on, and the car was taken back to Craven Tire. Different problem codes showed at that time. It is not reasonable to believe that the new problems were unrelated. Either the problem was misdiagnosed originally, or the repairs caused the new problems. The fact that one of the new error codes was a faulty gas cap, which was not noted originally, indicates that there was certainly some misdiagnosis originally. Again, it is not reasonable to believe the gas cap developed a problem overnight. I take issue with the statement that there was a single code when the car was taken back. I was told there were two new codes and that one was a faulty gas cap.
In summary, I wanted the "Check Engine" problem corrected. I did not ask for specific repairs to be made. A valid warranty would mean the original problem will be corrected.
A wonderful find for a local tire and auto service center. Staff makes a great effort. Have had my cars there for tires, valve stem replacement, TPMS programming, and alignment. They also work on boats and boat trailers too.
