Company is full of their self. They called me about my Wife's account, told me everything, so I called my wife. My wife calls back and says that the lady Christina was very rude to her, saying she dodged her calls. First and foremost, I have absolutely no idea how this company even got our bills. We never received one bill from the hospital, and when they called me about the bill they say I had I paid immediately, because I remembered going to the emergency room. However, my wife's experience has been an absolute nightmare, because she had questions. I absolutely murdered these people in terms of their legal argument. They probably broke no less than 4 laws in conversing with me, and I kept explaining when they did, so they passed up to a supervisor who then tells me they cannot speak to me regarding anything. I asked her, why do you think I am on the phone? You called me, and you are telling me everything. I could literally imagine how stupid she must of felt when she realized that. Then she said, well we shouldn't have done that due to hippa laws, I replied this is a finance matter, she replied for that either, I replied Florida is a community property state, she advised she wouldn't go further, I said prepare the proof of the agreement that you claim to have by phone recording, because I think you just made a big mistake, called BS and hung up. I am the worst person they could ever have done this too. If you find yourself here, text me, and we will find a way to ruin this company for the tricks. I promise.
This is not an easy or compassionate company to work with. For me I am between a rock and hard place as this is the only way to set up a payment plan to Tampa Bay area hospitals outside of using a personal credit card. Shortly after setting up my account with Medmax Credit I received a call from one of their employees asking if I would be able to make a certain $ payment by the 15th of the month, to which I told her I had one more bill to add and she gave me the adjusted $ amount. I assumed that my payments were due on the 15th of each month. When I went to make my online payment April 15th I noticed a late fee. I called to explain my confusion and was told late fees are only waived after 6 months of payment. I asked to speak with a Supervisor who repeated the same statement. I then asked if after 6 months of good payment could I have the fee waived she told me late fees are only waived within a 30 day period. My recommendation would be not to use MedMax Credit unless absolutely necessary.
