Gundlach Service is always prompt, efficient, courteous, and thoroughThank you Gary & Jim for outstanding and thorough service during the latest visit for my maintenance service contract with GundlachI have been acquainted with Gundlach service for yearsThey have always been the best in the business

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Linda has again, misstated the facts Mrs [redacted] did not say the relief valve went offShe said the water heater was leaking waterHow would we know the relief valve went off when the pan is full of waterLinda now says the tech determined that the relief valve did not go offConvenient since we didn't report thatThis simply covers up the fact that the tech did not determine that the water heater was damaged, when in fact it wasIf [redacted] was paid $and the supplier upcharged it $then why did Linda charge us $271? We sent a check for $on 1/20/so it surely would've been received by the date of Linda's letter (1/26/16)The discussion was "unpleasant" only because Linda would not respond to the issue of her revoked offer to split the ceiling and the warranty repair costsThere were no raised voices on either side and both parties were civil to each otherShe kept insisting; as she does now, that she offered to split the ceiling ($575) and the repair ($523.65)We had no idea Linda would renege on this offer because, as she says, after she made the split offer she found that Gundlach had not installed the panI don't know why that matters since the tech would've suggested replacing it in instead of going ahead with a drain install connected to a faulty panThe tech states on the work order that he installed and tested the drainIf the pan was good enough to connect a new drain to why was it a cause for concern less than years later when the drain failed? We've already split $and $by paying the $Why would we now want to split the $523.65? We've already paid the $575...before Linda reneged on her side of the deal Regards, [redacted]

Our air conditioning unit failed to cool sufficiently during the hottest part of the day during the hottest days we had this past weekendThe team from Gundlach came to fix our problem on the same day we called (Monday)It turned out to be a relatively minor issue and we were very grateful for their honesty and expertiseOur unit is working well nowThanks Gundlach!

A few weeks ago when my husband was out of town, I woke up before dawn to the smell of rotten eggs The only time I remembered smelling anything similar was when we were working on a clogged pipe I called Gundlach and left a message with the answering service since it was an hour before their office opened Within minutes I received a call from Gundlach The woman told me she thought I should call the fire department because she suspected a gas leak instead of a plumbing problem I seriously doubted a gas leak because we had disconnected the only gas line over a year prior She said she'd also send a plumber immediately She persisted and I reluctantly called the fire department who quickly blocked off my street, and entered the house with gas masks on and monitoring equipmentThe source of the problem turned out to be a lawnmower battery that was overcharged and emitting noxious fumes The Gundlach plumber also arrived on the scene pronto The bottom line is that Gundlach provided above and beyond service in returning my call before office hours and alerted me to an emergency situation and proper protocol Thank you Gunldach for excellent customer care!

she declined.Gunlach feels it has done it due-diligence through the
years in keeping ** *** informed of the systems needs for regular service maintenance
to precent costly repairsOur Technicians, *** ***, does not recall *** ***
requesting a Freon leak searchIf she had indeed requested a leak search it
would have had to be scheduled for a later date as Gundlach was only taking
emergency service calls for no air- conditioning for several weeks due to the
extreme temperatures. As a longtime customer, Gundlach gave ** ***a free service
call to check the second floor system on June 24, The issue was a bad fan
motorWe gave her a free Freon leak check and also offered ** *** some credit

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint of our customer *** ***concerning the warranty replacement of a water heater in his home on August 31, 2016.
"">Gundlach Plumbing & Heating Company, has in good faith, continued to work towards a settlement with Mr*** & Mrs*** for the water heater replacement. We agreed to give the ***'s a credit of $for the upgrade changes to the new style water hea!:er which gave them a six year tank warranty for the newly mandated water heater redesigned because of the new EPA law which became effective as of this past April 2011In my last conversation with Mr*** on December 11, 2015, Gundlach offered to split the adjusted bill which is $with the ***s paying $and Gundlach would credit the, balanceMr*** refused, stating that he would only pay $to settle the water heater replacement billGundlach did not accept his offer

A few weeks ago when my husband was out of town, I woke up before dawn to the smell of rotten eggs. The only time I remembered smelling anything similar was when we were working on a clogged pipe. I called Gundlach and left a message with the answering service since it was an hour before their office opened. Within 15 minutes I received a call from Gundlach. The woman told me she thought I should call the fire department because she suspected a gas leak instead of a plumbing problem. I seriously doubted a gas leak because we had disconnected the only gas line over a year prior. She said she'd also send a plumber immediately. She persisted and I reluctantly called the fire department who quickly blocked off my street, and entered the house with gas masks on and monitoring equipment. The source of the problem turned out to be a lawnmower battery that was overcharged and emitting noxious fumes. The Gundlach plumber also arrived on the scene pronto. The bottom line is that Gundlach provided above and beyond service in returning my call before office hours and alerted me to an emergency situation and proper protocol. Thank you Gunldach for excellent customer care!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Linda has again, misstated the facts
1. Mrs. [redacted] did not say the relief valve went off. She said the water heater was leaking water. How would we know the relief valve went off when the pan is full of water.
2. Linda now says the tech determined that the relief valve did not go off. Convenient since we didn't report that. This simply covers up the fact that the tech did not determine that the water heater was damaged, when in fact it was.
3. If [redacted] was paid $50 and the supplier upcharged it $25 then why did Linda charge us $271?
4. We sent a check for $50 on 1/20/16 so it surely would've been received by the date of Linda's letter (1/26/16).
5. The discussion was "unpleasant" only because Linda would not respond to the issue of her revoked offer to split the ceiling and the warranty repair costs. There were no raised voices on either side and both parties were civil to each other. She kept insisting; as she does now, that she offered to split the ceiling ($575) and the repair ($523.65). We had no idea Linda would renege on this offer because, as she says, after she made the split offer she found that Gundlach had not installed the pan. I don't know why that matters since the tech would've suggested replacing it in 2012 instead of going ahead with a drain install connected to a faulty pan. The tech states on the work order that he installed and tested the drain. If the pan was good enough to connect a new drain to why was it a cause for concern less than 3 years later when the drain failed?
6. We've already split $575 and $523.65 by paying the $575. Why would we now want to split the $523.65? We've already paid the $575...before Linda reneged on her side of the deal.

Our unit is working well now. Thanks Gundlach!

We bought our home from Creech. When it rains water leaks into the house. After repeated complaints and attempts by Creech's roofer, it still leaks. In 2003 we purchased our home from Creech Homes. We are the first owners of the property since its construction. Soon after taking possession we complained that the house leaked water when heavy rains came from the southwest. The rains that precipitated the leak, were intermittent and happened only one to three times each year. We would call the roofing contractor to repair the problem. His crew would come and attempt a repair. There were several calls over the years. They were fee based. And after each repair visit, we relied on representations that the problem had been fixed. However, after each attempt at repair, the leak would recur when the next hard rain came to town. As I said earlier, these rain events were irregular. After more than 9 years, the leaking still occurs when it rains hard. In 2013, after his last visit, the roofer suggested that we had bad brick. Consequently, we contacted a building inspector. He advised us that the leak was the result of defective and/or faulty flashing installation. We informed Creech Homes of these facts. [redacted] said that he couldn't warrant a house more that ten years old and recommended a couple of roofing companies he thought might be able to help us fix the problem. The company has yet to acknowledge any responsibility. About two weeks ago, the Creech Homes roofer, [redacted] Roofing Company, agreed to meet with us and help determine the reason for the leak. However, two days before our scheduled meeting, Mr. [redacted] advised me that Mr. [redacted] told him I said disparaging things about the [redacted] Roofing Company. Mr. [redacted] consequently rescinded his offer to help us. This has gone on far too long.Desired SettlementAt the very minimum, we want the leaking stopped and all incidental damages repaired and certified by our building inspector. We are not seeking to recover our related costs at this time.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], PresidentContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@CreechHomes.comMr. [redacted] bought his home eleven years ago from Creech Construction Company. At that time he had a professional home inspection performed and we completed any items on the list of deficiencies. After moving in to his home, he had a leak with his ice maker connection to his refrigerator and we replaced some hardwood flooring for him. A leak was discovered later in a wall. After opening the wall we found a screw had penetrated a air conditioning condensate line and it would periodically leak. The pipe was repaired and the wall was patched and painted. Both of these items took place within the first year of his occupancy. Our office has not had one bit of communication with Mr. [redacted] until this year when he contacted us, said he had a home inspection performed and wanted us to fix a water problem. At closing, we provided Mr. [redacted] with a Residnetial Warranty Corporation New Home warranty. Application # XXXXXXX That program is our written warranty to him.
