Review: I purchased a high chair for $45 for my granddaughter's first birthday party. She lives out of state and we didn't know if we were going to be able to borrow a high chair. At the time of purchase, I asked the sales associate if I could return the chair if we did not need it. I was told she could hold it for me. I had other errands to do so I asked if I could return it if I did not end up needing it.The sales associate told me that if I brought it back the next day it would not be a problem, but if I brought it back after the party I would get less than what I had origionaly paid for it. At no time during the transaction was I informed that all equipment purchases were final and would not be refunded or issued a store credit. I would have never purchased it. I was able to borrow a high chair from a friend so I brought the high chair back in less than 22 hrs. I was told they would only issue store credit. I ended up speaking to the Owner( at the time I did not know she was the owner)about Not being informed the item was not refundable. The receipt does not show the policy on it. The owner said there was no way for corporate to issue a refund. The owner told me the policy was clearly stated on the receipt and posted in the store. No where on the receipt is the policy posted and the sign stating the refund policy was buried on the counter behind product not visible to paying customers. When I asked the sales associate about returning I was told no problem. The owners response was to fire the employee. She said her job is to take care of the customer. I feel I was ripped off and lied to. In every conversation I was told the policy is no refunds yet as a owner of a business understanding my family lives out of state She refuses to issue a refund knowing I will probably never use it. She stole my money. At no point was I informed of the policy at time of purchase or verbally by employee. I understand employees make mistakes however as an upset customer she should have taken care of me as a courtesy.Desired Settlement: I would like my $45 + tax refund back as cash or on the credit card I made the purchase with

I’m deeply sorry you didn’t have a

good experience. Our goal is to meet our customer’s expectations at every

possible opportunity. Being a second hand store, our return policy is clearly

stated at the register and on each printed receipt. Per your request, we made an exception to our store return policy and offered you store credit for

the returned high chair upon your visit. The store credit was offered to you in

person (name and telephone number was entered into system) for the purchase amount

and you left the store with the store credit receipt. Just a note - we have

recorded this issue and store credit under the 3 different names presented to

us.[redacted] 805-xxx-xx21 and [redacted] 702-xxx-xx37 and now this claim is under

a different name and telephone number. We value your patronage and hope

you will give us a second try.

I am rejecting this response because: I never requested store credit. I requested a refund from the start. Store credit was forced upon me. As stated during numerous conversations my daughter Jennifer had with the owner, the sales associate at time of purchase informed me that if I brought the item back the next day I could get my money back. She knew my situation with my granddaughter coming from out of state and that we were hoping to borrow a high chair instead of buying one for financial reasons. At no time did the clerk say it was non refundable. At the time of attempted return my daughter handled the situation as I felt I had been taken advantage of and I was too upset. After explaining to [redacted] numerous times that I was never informed of the policy, it was not printed on the receipt, nor was the policy posted in a visible location at the point of sale she still refused to issue a refund as requested. The policy of returns turned out to be in front of the right register( I made my purchased from the left one ) behind 2 items. Which I would be more than happy to provide the Revdex.com a picture of. As for the name Given of Stephanie , we were not told by the clerk why a name had to be provided and for fear of harassment that was the name my daughter provided. Only after we left the store did we realize a name was needed for the store credit. [redacted] never identified herself as the owner during the first conversation with Jennifer. When Jennifer called later and asked to speak to someone above [redacted] she was told either Larry or Russ would call her. When Jennifer called a 4th time to find out when she would be expecting a call she then identified herself as the owner. [redacted] has proven to be dishonest in handling both the refund , the conversations and again her response to my initial complaint. I never requested a credit. She had the ability to take care if a situation in the right way where a customer had been provided with the wrong information and had the full understanding a refund would be issued. Otherwise I would have never made the purchase. Again as stated in my origional complaint.... I was NOT informed of the refund policy, the policy is NOT printed on the receipt, and the policy was NOT posted in a visible location to me the consumer.

Review: We ordered our furniture on March 3, 2013. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks. It has now been 23 weeks. They lent us cheaper furniture to pass our home inspection to be a foster parent and pass our license. They do this a lot and actually trick couples into keeping the cheaper furniture because the other products never come. We demanded our product and they did not have it. They gave us the floor model of our product and delivered a dresser that was not what we ordered and claimed it was the dresser. It does not match the picture in the catalog. They have along history of doing this to many couples. They refused us our refund when the product did not come. The delivery boys even said they do this to all their customers. They have a long history of doing this to other couples and not returning their money when the product does not come.Desired Settlement: I would like the dresser that I paid for to be ordered properly and delivered to my home as promised.

Response:

Customer purchase Nursery Furniture which was manufactured and distributed in Canada. Times quotes are estimates. Manufacturers production schedules, container orders, foreign product, customs, freight delays and other circumstances beyond our control may affect the estimate given. In this case, we accommodated the home inspection guide lines in advance and delivered the crib and dresser from the same manufacturer and color/stain. The style/model was an upgrade and retailed for $200 more than the style/model purchased. The purchased style/model crib and dresser was delivered this week. Freight arrived on Friday night and we delivered the following day. Due to the manufacturers delay we offered delivery and assembly at no charge ($125 value). We take pride in our customer service and go the extra mile to make sure our customers are taken care of especially during these type of circumstances.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9662337, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Although I would like to note that the owner is lying about the situation. We paid in full for our furniture on March 3rd. I contacted the manufacturer myself and have emails and confirmation from Pali that the owner of Cribs 2 Teens kept our money and never ordered our product until we threatened to file fraud charges and sue them.

Review: First of all, we ordered our bunk beds in PLENTY of time to have them before our fourth baby was born especially since, at the time we placed our order, we were told 6-8 week delivery window. Instead, our bunk beds took over 8 months to be delivered. 4 months after our baby was born! Between Clara and Larry, the owners, we were told one story after another as to when our beds were going to arrive. We never received phone calls to inform us of any updates on where or when we could expect our bunk beds, never mind we paid for them in full the day we ordered them!!! Anyway, Larry did allow us to use one of their bunk beds from his showroom after I complained and said my mother in law was going to have to sleep on the floor because of we didn't have our beds yet. At the time he gave us these loaner bunk beds he stated he would give us a credit of at least $500 because of all the trouble we had been through. He explained that the delivery issues were out of his control and that he would offer us this credit as a way to lessen the blow of the mishaps of the delivery process. Then when we received the bunk beds (the ones we actually ordered), Larry changed his mind on giving us the credit, saying "I gave you the loaner beds out of the kindness of my heart! Now I can't resell them, so I am out that money." He then said, he would call he company that makes our bunk beds (Maxtrix) & get money from them because apparently we were not the "only customer to have had delivery issues due to Maxtrix incompetence". Larry then told me he would call me when he got the money and would send us a check. I have not heard 1 thing from Larry and now my baby is 10 months old. These people are scammers. They are crappy sales people and provide horrible customer service. Call your customers!!!!!!!!!! Communicate with them!!!! I am horrified that this company has an A+ rating!!! No way!! Next question, "would you like this resolved?" Yes!!!!!! I want my $500 refund!!Desired Settlement: The promised $500 credit for the horrible delivery issues we encountered.

Response:

[redacted], we're sorry for your experience. We are concerned about what our customers think and want to address the issue that you have raised. The Matrix bunkbed purchased is a superior product with versatility, however depending on inventory availability and overseas production schedules, container orders and freight delays manufacturer lead times will vary. The Matrix representative explained the situation during a telephone conversation. During the transition, Cribs 2 Teens delivered a bunkbed in the same color and style directly from a local distribution center (not a floor model). Once the Matrix product arrived, Cribs 2 Teens disassembled the current bunk bed and assembled the matrix bunked at your residence. Cribs 2 Teens tried to accommodate you and your family while the Matrix product was arriving from overseas. Cribs 2 Teens absorbed the additional cost by providing a bunkbed with delivery and assembly in the interim. We go the extra mile to make sure our customers are taken care of when situations like distribution and freight delays arrive. We appreciate your patronage.

I am rejecting this response because:

several reasons:

First of all, I never spoke with a Maxtrix representative, so that is incorrect.
