Review: I have no question that [redacted] and his instructors know kayaking. What I do question is his business practices and customer service and know those things matter when teaching a potentially dangerous sport like whitewater kayaking. I paid for two weekend whitewater classes. In the first class, the other students canceled, so I was given one day of instruction instead of two. I agreed to this. But not long after I started my second class, the instructor said I was lacking basic skills and I should not have been taught the first class in just a day. He was not able to teach me those things because the two other students had their own boats and were far ahead of me in their skill level.I left repeated messages and emails for [redacted] that day and the next morning. He never responded. I cancelled the second day of the class thinking [redacted] would understand because my situation was caused by poor scheduling on his part - the first class should be two days. I should not take a second class with intermediate kayakers with their own boats. Crandall refused. He said I would have to pay again for the class.Oh, and he said that via email. He never returned my calls. I just don't think this is anyway to run a business and I'll have nothing to do with the company again. I would suggest going with California Canoe and Kayak where they may have higher teacher/student ratios but where you more likely to know what you're getting.Desired Settlement: I was like a refund of my class fee.
