Curves for Women - Champaign Reviews (6)

I am rejecting this response because:she didn't follow through and has a known written history as noted by other reviews of people that paid her. Along with a timeline verified by email. She's also tried bullying me via a lawyer and refused any attempt to resolve the matters by blaming me for her inabilites to produce promised work in the promised timeframe given not matching her supposed written agreement.

Hamilton Writing Services regrets client had such a negative experience and missed her designated deadline. Apologies were made to client regarding her name, and this writer attempted to work with the client to resolve issues, but these actions were rejected.  The initial resume and cover...

letter drafts were delivered on deadline meeting all the written terms of the client contract.  Based on urgency of need, client was alerted the materials were delivered. Client acknowledged receipt of materials, but waited 4 days before reviewing them and getting back to me about needed revisions via email, rather than calling me, which would have expedited update turnaround. After updates were made, revised drafts were returned to client. However, client didn't see her revised drafts in her Inbox for 5 days after delivery. This writer notified client of delivery of her revised drafts following on-time delivery of her second resume and cover letter.  Writer offered to work with client on any additional revisions but client did not follow-through. After receiving two resume and two cover letters, client requested a full refund, which was denied. Her materials were delivered on time, delays in client review on two occasions led to missed work posting deadlines, and Hamilton Writing Services did not materially breach the signed client contract. Payment upfront for writing services is an industry standard. Hamilton Writing Services provides full disclosure of services and contract terms, strives to work with each client to provide documents written with high quality and professionalism, and deliver all materials by designated deadlines as outlined on client contracts. I wish this client well.

scope of work and terms of agreement. Hamilton Writing Services will not work with any client, freelance or resume writing, without a signed client contract. [redacted] secured Hamilton Writing Services and signed his client contract on April 1, with his 60-minute information-gathering interview slated for April 17 at 5 p.m., the start of his turnaround time. After completing the interview, HWS began work on [redacted]' career documents. During the processing time, HWS encountered multiple technical issues that prevented work on [redacted]' and many other projects delaying completion time. Delays occurred due to a car accident, technical issues and personal emergencies. I'm a one-person office and while most clients didn't have any issues, [redacted] continually submitted emails requesting a turnaround date. All efforts were made, but delays continued beyond HWS' control. [redacted] and any other affected clients were made aware of these delays, albeit with projected due dates.  One of the terms of the signed contract is that the client is to be an active participant in the process and to contact HWS if materials don't arrive by the designated deadlines. [redacted] did follow this and sent emails requesting updates. Each was responded to within 24 hours of receipt. After continued delays on May 12, 2015, [redacted] was offered a partial refund by HWS, as were multiple other clients, because of ongoing delays in services delivery. He refused the initial terms stating he would request a full refund from his bank if delivery wasn't completed. HWS then canceled his contract and per the No Refund terms of the initial contract, [redacted] was sent a client release form on May 14, to review and sign in order to process his full refund. This releases him legally from the No Refund clause allowing a full refund to be processed. One stipulation of this release form is that upon a full refund the client agrees not to disparage HWS in any way or becomes liable for legal action for disparagement. This clause is to protect the integrity of HWS and has been legally approved by counsel. [redacted] refused to sign the client release form because of the non-disparagement clause. Since he refused to sign this legal release, his bank refused his refund per the No Refund clause of the initial canceled contract. This action was based on [redacted]' actions and out of the control of Hamilton Writing Services. On July 20, [redacted] sent an email stating emphatically that he would not sign any contract, but asked for his services to be completed since his bank refused his refund. Hamilton Writing Services stated I would complete the materials, and again started the process. However, after further delays, my legal counsel pointed out that [redacted] no longer had a contract with Hamilton Writing Services. His first contract was canceled, he emphatically stated he would not sign any additional contracts, and so no contract existed between us. At this point Hamilton Writing Services stopped further work on [redacted]' materials. Since he emphatically repeated he would not sign any contract, no contract was offered him as the outcome was well-known. On Sept. 28, 2015, I received the following email from [redacted] regarding his services:      ---------- Forwarded message ----------     From: [redacted] H     Date: Mon, Sep 28, 2015 at 1:51 PM     Subject: Re: Resume Status     To: [redacted] <[redacted]>      Hi [redacted],     Not sure what my choices are here. I have been waiting another 2 months for this.. do you want to call this down the middle and refund me half?             I'm not willing to sign anything but I will also not post any type of reviews.      [redacted] D. [redacted] was aware no refund would be made when he made this statement based on earlier actions by his bank since he refused to sign the client release form. When he requested the full refund he canceled his initial contract and Hamilton Writing Services was under no obligation to continue working with him. Based on the ongoing delays, the refusal to sign his client release, his emphatic refusal to sign any future contracts, and his last request for a refund in lieu of posting comments, Hamilton Writing Services chose to terminate all contact with [redacted] and move on. I was advised by my business coach and legal counsel that this action would be in the best interest of HWS.   Hamilton Writing Services did make many efforts to complete the services for [redacted]. However, in many instances delays occurred beyond my control and after repeated attempts to resolve the issues it was determined in both our best interests to move on. The refused refund was based on [redacted]’ actions by not signing his release. I'm sorry for this outcome with [redacted], however, at this time I no longer wish to work with him. I wish him well with future endeavors.  Respectfully,[redacted]

Are you aware she did not provide what she made clear that she would provide services by a certain time frame and did not do so and also provided a resume that was not including the materials I gave her and expected per our conversations on both meeting and interview via phone ? I asked for the copies and I have not been able to revise them or make changes on PDF format to have them suit other job opportunities. I don't see how based on the documents and emails that she provided the job based on payment made.

Mr. [redacted], hereforafter referred to as “Client”, breached his own promise to provide information to this writer by an initial due date to allow the writer to complete the draft, erred in the original due date for his desired job post, and cancelled his contract and services before delivery of...

the initial resume draft. Missed deadlines based on the client’s behavior are not considered a material breach of the client contract by this writer. This writer contends that the non-delivery of services are due to client’s non-compliance to his own demands, not the fault of this writer and his personal cancellation of services. Writer requested client to send details of job information by end of day Jan. 31 to complete initial drafts so client could meet a job posting date of Feb. 5. Client originally thought posting date was Feb. 10, but writer noticed the 5 days earlier due date. Client sent his information on Feb. 2, delaying the drafts by 36 hrs. Further review of client information revealed a need for a complex rewrite complicating the delivery of the initial draft. Draft was in process when client cancelled the original request on Feb. 5. On Feb. 10, client again cancelled all work on a resume draft and demanded an immediate refund. This writer agreed to refund the client in full within 15 days following the completion of a client release form allowing his release from the No Refund policy in client contract. Client notified writer on Feb. 18 that he refuses to sign this release form, is not obligated to do so, and immediately demanded a refund. His delay in responding to writer about release for refund followed by Revdex.com negative review and intimidation of small claims court and bullying tactics to demand a faster refund turnaround are considered a lack of professionalism on his part. Writer hadn't even replied to client on Feb. 18 before client submitted negative complaint to Revdex.com. Writer agreed to refund client and will do so within 15 daysas per policy. Writer maintains a no refund clause in client contract and is not obligated to refund client since work was in process on draft, His negative comments and threats are being referred to this writer’s legal counsel of further consideration.

I am rejecting this response because: Not sure how  technical issues stop you from writing an resume and cover letter but you can send emails confirming next dates. I was continuously offered dates of completions and they were missed every time. May 2nd, Hi [redacted],Your drafts will be coming by May 11 at the latest. Thank you for the email with your job description. Most of my resumes are results-oriented marketing tools rather than duty-oriented reviews. I'll draw upon the notes I gathered from our information interview, but may refer to your job description if needed. I'll scan it to see if it includes any results-from tasks you had and actions you took. Employers want you to show them your success through specific examples of results-oriented actions rather than merely review your duties description.I'll be in touch.Best,May 12th,Hi [redacted],  I had a personal emergency May 3 that delayed some projects. It pushed back some deadlines. I'll see if I can get your materials out by Wednesday the 13th or Thursday the 14th. Sorry for the delay.  Multiple projects were affected. Thanks for your patience.[redacted] [redacted] July 22ndHello [redacted],I'll get your resume completed and send a draft to you no later than July 28, next Tuesday. It may come sooner, but the projection deadline at least allows time to re-review the information to refresh my memory on your talents and create the documents.Thank you for your patience. I look forward to sending your drafts for review.Best regards,[redacted]July 29thHi [redacted],Check your SPAM folder. If it didn't come through I'll have to see what happened. I have an Internet provider that creates a lot of technical issues; had to shut down last week during a client interview because of malware attacks over the server. I'll make sure something comes through for you. Thanks for letting me know, [redacted].[redacted] July 30thShould be done today. I've had to deal with some personal issues of late relating to a car accident that occurred last month and the police report was just released. It demanded a lot of time but things appear to be under control. Also learned yesterday that another client had issues with sending me information via Gmail, so there have been issues with sending/receiving emails. You'll get your materials, [redacted]. Hang in there. My policy is still 10-15 business days and although you've returned, I'm working on clients in the order in which they arrive barring any technical issues or personal emergencies. Thank you for your patience. Aug 4thIf it doesn't come today I'll get it to you Thursday. Tuesday and Thursday are designated writing days when I complete projects. I'm working on projects today and hope to complete yours today, otherwise it will be sent on Thursday sometime. Aug 7th Hi [redacted],[redacted] went down without notice so it delayed delivery of multiple projects.  I'll get it to you as soon as possible barring any more [redacted] tech issues.  They gave no reason and it impacted my timelines.Sorry for the inconvenience.  Thanks for your patience.[redacted]  Aug 18th Hi [redacted],Thanks for checking in. I've been dealing with a number of personal issues that cut into writing times. It's been rather frustrating for everyone.I'm shooting to get your drafts delivered by Thursday. Barring any further medical emergencies we should be good to go.Looking forward to completing your drafts for review.Have a great evening.  Aug 21Hi [redacted]I'm hoping to complete it tonight and get drafts to you late. Thanks for checking in.[redacted] Aug 27th[redacted], I'll have it done Saturday, if not tomorrow night. I'm completing a lot of projects and yours in in the line-up. It will be done by or before Saturday. I'll guarantee that barring any medical or technical issues that come up.[redacted] did not tell me my contract was broken and that she would not complete my resume just kept missing deadlines. if you internet is down and that is your tech issue there are other ways to get a resume we could meet again, you could go to fedex, you could mail it tons of different ways I do not see that as an excuse.  I think you can see my frustration with due dates and missing all of them.
