Review: This contractor did not complete what was agreed upon in our original work schedule for our home that we were remodeling. There were supplies that we had bought to finish the work along with some materials that we removed from one room to use in another room that were taken, which we had to replace after he left. Some of the work he did, like lights and plumbing didnt work/weren't done correctly, so we tried to get ahold of him to come back to fix the problems and he would never return our calls. We had to hire an electrition and a plumber to come and fix what he wouldn't come back to fix even though he gave us a written warranty. I would stay clear from this guy if I ever needed work done again!

We paid $300 for the plumbing to get fixed. $100 for the electircal and to replace the supplies that were taken cost us $75. So a total of $475 and we would call it even, even though the contractor is not honoring his warranty and left us in a jam.

In response to the claims of the consumer regarding [redacted] st [redacted] CA. I have tried responding to this consumer via telephone with no response to this matter.

As for the claims which lye within the complaint, they are falsifications of the truth. This consumer from day one tried to coerce my company into giving him a free bathroom which apparently another contractor had promised in an estimate long before the customer and I entered into contract the plumbing and electrical was all in good standing and had been signed off and approved by not only the customer but also by the inspector for the government agency Funding the project. I have all documentation to prove this as being correct and true. Up until the last phone conversation we had to my knowledge everything was in good working order with the home. The following is the truth about the items listed in this complaint.

Item 1

As to the light supposedly not working the customer indicated he was going to hang drywall on the ceiling of his new room which was to be done after I had left and the contract was completed. I had discussed with the plaintiff that I would leave the light unplugged for easy removal when he was ready to install the ceiling Gypsom board it would be an easy re installation. He agreed to this and then I explained all that was needed was to plug in. However this is all beside the point because the matter truly is I was contracted to install a fan only into this area I was not contracted to install any light fixtures what so ever. Further upon completion of project The Fan was operating properly. The only other lighting issue was a Three way switch that was not operating properly in another area of the home which was not affected by any part of the project nor was part of the contract. Again I explained the situation to the plaintiff and told him my recommendations to fix issue.

The plumbing that plaintiff refers to in this matter is the bathroom upgrade which was discussed above. Another contractor in the bid process gave a quote that was never approved by the program whom was funding this project however he continued to harass me. I told the plaintiff several times there was no bathroom included in this project per the funding agency and he would have to wait till the project was finished in order to start on this additional item but he insisted. I told this customer if I had a weekend free I would donate time and Help for free to get his new bathroom in order once the contract was completed.

Apparently this was not good enough for him so he decided to call associates of mine and bad mouth me for not installing his bathroom. Telling them I did not complete the plumbing. Per the contract the only plumbing which I was to be involved in was the plumbing for the laundry room relocation.

At this point I severed contact with this customer. His constant harassment and comments of slander toward myself and my company forced me to do so in no way do I feel in the wrong for doing so. In addition

To the rest of this complaint, frankly its disheartening to read. Never once in my life have I taken something from a job site which was not mine, I have never taken materials which I did not provide, and never have I left a customer in a "bad spot". The materials which are mentioned was a bucket of Texture which was used in the plaintiffs house. And to which I informed the plaintiff of. The contract stated that my company shall provide a rough tape coat on all walls affected by demolition and construction. I decided to take it a step further and smooth coat all walls and Prime so the plaintiff would not have to deal with anything but paint. The other supplies mentioned was laminate flooring which was removed carefully from a hallway and reused in another newly framed hallway, all the usable materials went into this area and the only pieces left were scrapes that were no bigger that an 8 inch pieces and they were all unusable angled cuts or to small to be kept. So I hauled them to the dump. This item I am baffled by there was nothing there to keep.

I gave this customer so many extras on this project and I Feel I was taken advantage of. Here Is a list of upgrades which I have not been paid for and am sure I will never see reimburstment.

1 Granite counter top upgrade, laminate was included in contract 700.00

2 Sub floor framing and tongue and grove plywood installation approximately 90 sq ft labor only plus one sheet of ply 350.00

3 Smooth coat texture and priming approximately 900 sq ft 550.00

4 Provided baseboards and installation in all rooms affected by construction 460.00

I put in numerous hours on this project to get it ready so there Holidays would be undisturbed and took a major hit by subbing out some of the work in order to get it done quick per the request of this customer.The items listed above where supposed to be provided by others but in the interest of pleasing the customer I tried to provide a better service and quality product, instead of being a cold person and saying this is all you get because your contract says so. I felt compelled to do more because of their situation, I guess some people just don't see it. I could continue ranting about the many items which cost me time and money on this project in the end it just sounds like complaining so I will stop there.

I feel compelled now to seek legal council in regards to this matter. Frankly this is a defamation of character matter now not only towards me but my company and way of life There will be no settlement paid to this customer. Honestly I feel cheated out of a lot of money and now this... a complaint WOW. Unfortunately I'm sure I am the portrayed as the bad guy here so how but this is just not the case. This man is trying to take advantage of a system that is all. And is using the Revdex.com to try and do it. Sad this is society these days
