I've been a loyal customer of Mike's Cycle World for over yearsI recently had an experience with them that destroyed this relationshipI took my ATV in for repairs and was told I needed to have my Carburetor rebuiltFine, no big dealhad it doneGot the ATV home but immediately began having the same problemI call the service department and ended up talking to the same guy who originally scheduled the repairHe acted very professionally, apologized, said it was their fault and that they would "make it right" and it wouldn't cost me anythingGreatSo I take it back and leave itAfter a few days I get a call from them telling me I need a new carburetor and that it would cost me $$$ extraNeedless to say, this didn't rest well with meI figure that I paid for a repair that was never a repair to begin with (was told there wasn't any type of warranty offered with their parts and labor)… and was lied to by the company when the rep told me I wouldn't be chargedI offered to pay the difference between the money I paid the first time vsthe cost of the new repairBut noI finally managed to talk to "Mike" himself via telephonebut it was obvious his concern was his bottom line, not a lowly little customer like meOh, and I was told the rep no longer worked for them and that they had problems with him beforeFor what? Being a service representative with some integrity? Guess that's not a prerequisite to work for this companySadCan't believe a company would negate a year relationship over a hundred bucks, but I guess these are the times we live inGoodbye MCW and good riddance
