Deaton Group Realty

I do not recommend doing business with the Deaton Group. My husband and I rented a house from them in Little Rock, and it was miserable. The house was not in good repair, but it was decent and the price was good for the space. However, when we found something that was broken or in need or maintenance and we alerted the property manager it would take weeks to address and fix, if it got fixed at all. For example, shortly after we moved in the valve stem in the hot water knob in the master bath broke. It took 2 1/2 weeks for the property manager to get a plumber out to fix it. All the while hot water is dribbling out and causing my water bill to sky rocket. No compensation was given for the increased water bill. This kind of [redacted] treatment and delay in repairing even the most minor household problems continued through the duration of our lease.

When Mr. D. was contacted about the miserable performance of his property managers he was extremely apathetic. He was dismissing of our concerns and unhelpful. Apparently he is unconcerned that his property managers aren't fulfilling their end of the lease agreement, and are poorly managing their properties. Getting responses from them, by phone or by text, took days or weeks, and we often had to call several times before we got a reply.

All in all renting from the Deaton Group was a horrible experience. I would have happily continued renting from them and living in that house if they weren't such poor managers. I do not recommend dealing with them at all. I don't recommend them for leasing a property, or selling/buying a property. Their customer service is abysmal.
