Decks by Wadsworth was recently working directly behind our house. They were building a deck on property that had not been marked for utility lines. Their crew drilled into the main gas line. When they did this, they ran and left all of the equipment running. My husband and I were planting trees a few feet away. They failed to tell us to evacuate or notify us in any way that they had hit the main gas line. We eventually had to evacuate our home. Upon returning, I asked the owner of the company why his crew ran and failed to inform us of the leak. He cursed at me and said if I was too stupid to not know what they had done that was our problem and he was not responsible. The owner of the home also told me that they did not inform her right away either. I placed a negative review on Angies List regarding Decks by Wadsworth and I then received a threatening phone call from the company to remove the review. I was told that they would go to my job and speak with human resources, I was threatened with a lawsuit and I was told that I did not know who I was dealing with. I had to file a report with the sheriffs office. But, I do know who I am dealing with, this is an unethical and irresponsible company that put our lives in danger and then threatened us to be quiet about it. I am writing this review to warn potential customers of the disregard for human life and unethical business practices of this company.
