When we installed the water heater never in my thirty years in business have I seen a "7" yea warranty tankWe have ALWAYS sold year and ten yearIn any event if it lets go within the warranty period ANY contractor can take the tag and return it to the wholesaler and they will handle the
warrantyUnder NO condition am I the responsible party for the warranty, the manufacture isThe reason I did not call *** back last weekend is due to previous experience I have chosen to no longer do business with himI am not the *** ***, I do not HAVE to work for him, and My choice is not toThe fact that for some reason he feels the need to keep prodding me to get a response is mind bogglingThere never was any implied financial warranty on our part, and I did fulfill my contract with himThis is the same thing as when you buy a carThe warranty is the manufacturers warranty and can be handled by and dealer of that vehicle. The fact that we have a virtually perfect reputation after thirty years EXCEPT *** just goes to the "there's always that one you cant satisfy" I am sorry he is unhappy but I do not feel the need to call him given the course he has chosen since there is no warranty by us and we did nothing wrong. *** ** ***President / Master Plumber

Like I stated,I am under no obligation to replace the tank for free. The manufacture gives the homeowner a tank for free plus handling charge and ANY CONTRACTOR can do the work beyond that point. I never stated I would replace it for free as he is stating . That as is with any product id the manufactures option. If it failed in the first year the manufacture would then pay a labor charge for the work,but after that even they do nothing besides replace the tank only.
