To whom it may concern, In response to *** *** complaint and billing dispute on 11-19-2015. Patient came in for prophy, dental exam , and four bitewings x-rays totaling charges of $His insurance paid this claim for $leaving patient a balance of
$. Patient now has a self policy with very limited coverage as you can see which we are not in network with however we still do the courtesy and file the claim for the patient. His wife brought new insurance information into us after he had his visit hereWe would in no way have known he wouldn't be in network with his new insurance company and was never told thatWe are in network with only insurance companies and just with two receptionist working the front desk were very knowledgeable with those particular companies Im sorry for the inconvienance for the patient however we have no control of knowing what his particular insurance would have paid on this claim. *** *** When I called, I checked to make sure that they accepted our insuranceThey said yes, so I made Ken his dental appointmentHe forgot to take the card with him when he went to his appointmentSo, I brought it up later so they could make a copy of it, and we had no idea that there was going to be a problem until we received a bill for $When I called the office to talk to them about this bill, she informed me that they accept our insurance, but not our individual planIt sounds like to me the girls who work in the office were not aware of the fact that this dental office did not accept certain plans through our dental insurance company, until they submitted it for paymentI definitely think they should give us some type of deduction
