I had a difficult time finding the right transmission shop to handle my situation, plus I needed affordability... When I developed transmission issues in my Ford Super Duty truck in late 2013, I thought to myself... "This is going to be expensive.".

Most of us have all been exposed to manipulative, sociopathic vehicle repairmen. My positive experience with Denny's transmission dates back to about 2005 when my oldest daughter's Dodge pickup transmission started acting up. My daughter visited Denny's Transmission then simply because "It was in the neighborhood". I thought, back then, "Okay, how much are they going to try to get for a transmission rebuild..." it turns out they took a look at it and replaced the solenoid for about $400 bucks, a long way from the $1,500 plus I thought they'd want for a transmission rebuild. My daughter drove that truck for several years without further problems before she traded it in. The point here is they fix what's broken. They don't sell you a transmission rebuild if you don't need it.

Back to my truck. I plan on driving this truck for many, many years, so I take good care of it. [redacted], at the Cave Creek store offered me three options. One, fix it for a reasonable amount. Two, rebuild it for the long haul (Excuse the pun.). Three, upgrade the transmission with premium parts that would make the transmission Super-Heavy-Duty. (I brought it up.) I had previously priced out these upgraded transmissions and knew the number he gave me was half of what I'd pay elsewhere. I went with the premium upgrade and couldn't be happier with the improved power and peace of mind I have.

One more thing everyone should know. In the state of Arizona, transmission rebuild shops can install a couple of parts and call it a "Rebuilt transmission". There is NOT a universal standard, in Arizona, for what a rebuilt transmission must include. Denny's has been around a long time and is owned and operated by a second and third generation (depending on which of their two shops you go to.) Denny's is honest, they'll replace all the parts required for a complete, honest rebuild. Other shops may charge less but you face the wrath of sociopaths.

PS I dealt with [redacted] at the Cave Creek Road store(Near Cactus/Thunderbird and Cave Creek Road). I highly recommend dealing with [redacted], he is the exact opposite of a fast talking hustler. I liked how he does business immediately.
