I ordered ~$300 worth of T-shirts and women's night shirts. The night shirts seemed too wide and too short to be night shirts. Aside from having sewn-in neck labels that read "O/S", they are exactly the same size as the men's X-large T-shirts I also received. Men's T-shirts cost $8-$10 less than women's night shirts. I requested a $40 refund to cover my purchase of five women's night shirts. DePanda Gifts suggested that I, instead, deal with their shirt manufacturer: Mountain.com. Mountain.com informed me that their shirts do not have sewn-in size labels, and instead have sizes stamped on the shirt fabric. Did DePanda attach sewn-in size labels, or did they sell me shirts from a different source than Mountain.com? I tried to phone DePanda and discovered that the phone number from their website doesn't work (920 794-7370). The phone number they provided my credit card account (920 645-5596) also does not work. Two phone numbers I got by Googling Depanda Gifts also do not work: 920 755-2400 and 920 863-8233. Their addresses are a number of postal boxes in the Green Bay/Manitowoc area of Wisconsin, so I don't think they want anyone to be able to find them. I have my doubts that anyone has ever been able to get a refund from them. All this seems rather shady and disreputable.
This business seems to have no desire to actually deliver the products that they advertise to sell. I ordered 3 t-shirts, all of which were indicated as being 'in stock' on their website. There was no choice in how the items were to be shipped, it simply comes up as 'priority mail' and the charge was $10.53.
Immediately after placing my order I received an 'order confirmation' email which also stated, 'we're getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent.' That was 6 days ago.
I sent an email asking for the status of my shipment and 24 hours later I have heard nothing. I called a number I found online (4:00pm eastern, this group is in WI) and it rang without being answered in any way. I called again today at the phone number above. An answering machine picked up but does not indicated the number belongs to Depanda. I left a message asking for the order to be cancelled since I needed the shirts by today.
I strongly suggest that no one do business with this company!
