Dependable Tree Service

Agreed to cut top of tree, haul debris away & cut remainder of tree later. Cut top portion & did not haul debris away. Asked for more money later.A man identifying himself as [redacted] & claiming to work for Jones Tree Service spoke to my husband (while my husband was sick & in the hospital) in December 2014.He led my husband to believe he would cut the whole tree down & haul away the debris, for a price of $3,250. He only cut the top of the tree & did not haul the debris away. He later asked for another $1,600 to complete the job. I have a receipt/agreement that he signed saying he would do the top portion & haul away the debris for $3,250. On this agreement, he also stated he would come back and cut whatever we wanted cut on the tree at no additional cost anytime before 12/12/15. At the very least, this is a breach of contract. I also learned later that the original cost of $3,250 is double what we should have been charged to cut the whole tree down & haul away the debris. We had to pay someone else $650 to finish the job. I feel that this person took advantage my husband and myself.Desired SettlementI feel a refund of $2,250 is fair. We paid him $3,250. It should have been $1,600. Minus that and the $650 we had to pay to complete the job, I feel that we should have only paid this man $1,000.I also would like to prevent this from happening to any other victims.
