Review: On 3/19/2011 the owner of Dinettes, [redacted] ?, picked up my heirloom cedar chest upon reaching an agreement to the refinishing and repair of the item. Agreed completion date and delivery were to be on May 1, 2011. I have called repeatedly to be given a new delivery date and then he never shows up. Being rightfully concerned, my husband and I went directly to his place of business to pick up the supposedly finished item. He was there, but told us the cedar chest was at his warehouse and he could not get to it on that day, but would call me no later thn two days after that time and deliver my goods. That was over 2 weeks ago. This cedar chest was my mother's given to her by my grandmother and total worth today would be well over $200-3000.00., let alone the sentimental value which to my family would be priceless. I want my cedar chest back and restitution for all the emotional damage this man has caused.Desired Settlement: being able to pick up my cedar chest, owing nothing plus recieving and allotted amount for emotional and mental abuse
Review: Company contracted to restore and refinish an antique 5 legged oak table, 4 mixed wood kitchen chairs, and a tall cabinet on july 15, 2013 for an approximate price of $3000. An initial payment of $1500 was made on the date of the contract. Estimated completion date for the restoration and refinishing was September 10, 2013 . The furniture was not completed on the contract date nor has it been completed as of this writing. Numerous inquiries by telephone have resulted in repeated promises of completion which have not been kept. We have been without or furniture for approximately 50 days beyond the contract date.Desired Settlement: Prompt delivery of properly restored and refinished furniture at the agreed price.
Review: In September 2012, [redacted] representing Dinettes, loaded into his truck a patio set (four chairs and table) [aluminum construction mirroring wrought iron] with the purpose of stripping the paint and powder coating the set in white. A contract was written for an estimated delivered price of $1,000. A down payment was provided via check on [redacted] for the amount of $500. A delivery date of October was selected and so written on the contarct. Over the course of the past nine months, I have contacted [redacted] no less than 12 times. He has promised to deliver the patio set on each of the calls. The last phone conversation was on Friday, June 7 wher [redacted] promised to travel to Virginia and deliver the set. I called him at 11:00 (23:00) on Saturday night to lodge yet another complaint, followed by a call Sunday morning. The Saturday and Sunday complaints were taken by answering machine.
Please note, [redacted] has never returned a call, each promise of delivery has been when I've contacted him.Desired Settlement: The delivery of the patio furniture before the end of June.
