We are in communication with the customer and have requested proof that she did in fact get the same exact kitchen $5000.00 less than our price through our Corporate headquarters.  We have never seen a retail store selling kitchens below our cost price. Nationally we do tens of millions of...

dollars of business with Omega kitchens so we do not see how a retailer can sell below our cost because we do not make a profit on merchandise.  Once we receive proof we can forward to Corporate to investigate the facts. Very Truly Yours,

Direct Buy is seeking this information so that they can dispute the refund from the credit card company. Once that dispute is settled, I would be more than happy to provide the documentation.

Review: I joined as a online member because I could not afford any other plan. I explained to the owners of the club and their representative what my budget was and the I was intrested in a sectional. I sat for the open house and watched a video and spoke in detail about my finance. My husband was not with me and I was hesitant to follow through. It was explained that if I left that the offer to join would be revoked. So I joined I put $300.00 down and made an additional payment of 190.00 on the 9th of April. I did not recieve my password so I assumed and placed a telephone call so I could look on the web and make my purchase. Once I spoke with [redacted] he assured me it was sent I looked in my junk mail it was there. I looked for my sectional and wanted to make the purchas. Not one person explained that I would be paying $300.00 dollars because of weight to have this sectional delivered only to the ware house and than pay an additional charge to have it delivered to my home. Now of course this is beyond my budget. I then reached out to cancel my membership and got the run around. By the time I reached someone today they explained my time frame of 72 hours was up because I was sent a log on on the 5th of April. That is insane because as I stated above my last payment was not made until the 9th of April which technically does not make me a member of Dircect Buy. Why would anyone in their right mind pay to have their furniture sent to a ware house and then pay to have it delivered to their home. If that is the case I might as well have bought it directly from the retailer. Double delivery charge do I look like a fool. So the sectional that I assumed I was going to purchase for 1,000- 1,200 would now cost me almost $1,600. I'm done with Direct Buy they will need to take me to court and sue me before I sue them. I can not believe this . Yes they did say that the furniture gets delivered to their warehouse to ensure the furniture is not damaged. But they did not say I would be charged for that service.Desired Settlement: I would like mine and my husbands membership canceled. My husband was not there when I signed. But they said no issue you can sign for him. They explained it's a online membership so me signing for him would not be an issue. I would like nothing to do with Direct Buy I do not live beyond my means and I was more than clear. If they would have said you pay for shipping and handling twice. That alone would have sent a red flag up. I would have walked right out of that location never to return,

I spoke with our Customer/Member and re-educated her on our merchandise total cost breakdown. I also remined her of our Lowest Price Guarantee. Going forward I asked her to provide the items she is interested in and assured her a savings when comparing apple to apples. She thanked me for the call and I told her to feel free to call me if there is anyway I could help her.

I am rejecting this response because: I did speak with [redacted]r and he did explain some more to me. He also asked me to do some research . He also stated that if I felt strongly about not being a member he would go to corporate that he would not force me into remaining a member. I also reminded him of my budget in which I hold strong to. I did some comparrison shopping and nothing is in my budget. Also the Sectional I wanted from [redacted] had such terrible reviews from customers accompanied with photos. Which I also informed [redacted] about. At this time and moving forward I am not intrested in a membership with Direct Buy. This is not a personal attack on Direct Buy. However the company mis represented hidden cost. It was never told to me nor was it mentioned in the video that I would be subjected to two delivery charges based on weight.I have purchased many furniture sets in my life. I have NEVER paid $300 to $400.00 dollars for delivery and shipping and handling.

I have yet to recieved my payment back. I wad [redacted] to return all items recieved [redacted], I will be sending those out shortly. However it was agreed and I accepted that the contract would be canceled. Where is my money that should be returned of $490.00 dollars.

Review: During the sales process we were guaranteed that they could provide our appliances and cabinets for our new kitchen. We were very specific about the brand of appliances and were told they could provide them at about 30% less than market price. We signed up and ultimately feel the sales rep was dishonest. When we starting contacting Directbuy to get the quotes we were told that although they told us they carry GE Appliances explicitly, they do not carry GE Monogram appliances. This was communicated to the sales person the day we signed up.

The second issue was the kitchen cabinets. We had a kitchen consultant price out a kitchen and right before ordering we decided to confirm that their pricing was indeed less. Our local supplier offered us the same cabinet at about $5,000 less. I called the store numerous times to discuss. At this point, my calls were not being returned. I emailed conceriege about cancelling our service and we were told we had to go through the store and that the store would call us. To date I have not recieved a call from the store regarding our cancellation. Ultimately, we feel that we were misled and lied to in the sales process and their products and services are not being truthfully relayed to the customers.Desired Settlement: I would like my membership fees refunded.
