Dirty South Diesel Performance Reviews (2)

Repair company picked up the truck for repairs and the repairs were unknowingly not completed. Company charged $6000 for repairs.Several months ago my truck was picked up for repairs. The truck initially went in because there was diesel fuel in the coolant. The cause of this per [redacted] was a bad injector or bad head. We took the truck to Dirty South Diesel because they were half the cost of [redacted] to repair the issue. Dirty South Diesel claimed to make the repairs which we paid the repair cost of $6000. We picked up the truck and drove the truck for 700 miles and then had the same issue that the truck originally went to Dirty South for. We spoke to Dirty South Diesel and they told us to bring the truck back to us. We then towed the truck back to them. They said that the truck just needed the coolant flushed and that it was not covered under warranty. We were then charged another $800. My general super attendant paid the charge with his credit card. We then picked up the truck. We again drove the truck for another 700 miles and the issue occurred again. We then took the truck back on February 20, 2014. We had continuous contact for the first week and they told us that the truck was apart and being repaired. After the first week the continuous contact was lost. We left several messages with no responses. We then started leaving several messages a day on both the office phone and the secretary's personal cell phone. We still got no response. Upon recommendation from our COO we drove to Dirty South Diesel to contact them about the repairs. After speaking to the secretary she told us the heads for the truck were out for repair at [redacted] Specialist. We asked if we could see the truck and they hesitated to let us see it. At that time we felt something was wrong. We then found our truck in the parking lot. We opened the hood and found the engine completely intact and that it had not been touched for the entire time it had been there which at that time was 32 days. We then asked the secretary why no work had been done and why were told the parts were taken off and in for repairs. She told us that she was just the messenger and that the owner of the company was constantly having her lie to customers about the repairs of their vehicles. This company has been claiming to make the same repair for several months and now our vehicle sits in their parking lot with the repairs still untouched. We have invested almost $7000 in this company to have nothing done. The job should not take more than a week to complete. Desired SettlementWe are seeking the cost of $6800 be refunded to us as the repairs were not initially made and this is now the third time the truck is back. It has been sitting in their lot for five weeks untouched. We have also had towing bills incurred due to having to take the truck back to their shop for repairs.

I brought my truck to dirty south diesel performance to have the motor pulled, rebuilt, and reinstalled. Upon delivery several parts were missing. On 5/20/2013 [redacted] of dirty south diesel pulled the motor out of my 2005 Chevrolet silverado due to a cracked and melted piston. After several months and no work done I went and picked up the motor to take it to a different machine shop on 9/5/2013. On that same day I noticed a dent in the right rear fender flare where they had set my hood up against the truck. Talked with [redacted] about the dent and he agreed to compensate me for their error. On 10/17/2013 myself and a friend picked up my truck from dirty south diesel and towed it to a shop in [redacted], nc. On 11/2/2013 [redacted] who is now putting the truck back together found out that the crossover thermostat housing was missing so I contacted [redacted]. After several days and no returned phone calls I went to the shop and they found the missing piece. On 11/16/2013 we found out that [redacted] gave us fuel rails for a 2001-2003 model year truck instead of my model year truck. After several people including [redacted] looked for the missing fuel rails they could not find them and agreed to compensate me for buying new ones.On 11/13/2013 we found out that they did not give me the wiring harness to the truck so once again I called and called and called and talked to [redacted] and also talked to the receptionist. They were refusing to compensate me for the fuel rails and wiring harness that they had lost. On 1/14/2013 [redacted] once again called to inform me about more missing parts. This time it was the fuel injection control module and several fuel lines. I called and asked to speak with [redacted]. The receptionist put me on hold and after 2 minutes hung up on me. I called back 10 times before she answered again yelling and screaming at me that they were not paying for any of these missing parts which were now totaling over 1,000 dollars. I calmly asked to speak with [redacted] and was hung up on again. This has been the last that I have heard from them. Desired SettlementI am seeking 1500 dollars in settlement. Required for the lost fuel rails totaling 200 dollars, the lost wiring harness totaling 200 dollars, the ficm totaling 400 dollars, several fuel lines totaling 100 dollars, and body repair from the dent estimated at 350 dollars. The rest is for gas and other expenses I have incurred by driving to and from their shop numerous times since they have not been able to help me over the phone.
