Vehicle not repaired in timely manner. Repair work not discussed with owner, parts ordered without knowledge,repair incomplete, no invoice of parts.the vehicle was driven into shop for repair of power steering belt 6-13-2014.Cam shaft sensor purchased by owner to have replaced. Vehicle was promised for repair same date. repair not completed that date -"other repairs needed per owner". owner stated he would repair the car, and charge only 200.00 at Monday 6/16 delivery date. car not ready 6/16/2014. told to come back 6/18/2014- car not ready- additional parts ordered from Lebanon TN area pending for delivery- and to come back for pick up 6/20/2014. Car not ready 6/20/2014 -told to come back Sat 6/21/2014. went to pick up car 6/21-vehicle not ready. Parts lying all over the bay shop floor and car still on the rack. Inquired if vehicle would be ready Mon 6/23 and shop owner stated he did not know. Owner refused to give date when vehicle would be ready and customer asked if it would be better to retrieve car and owner said yes. instructed mechanic to cease work, bring the car off the rack, set it outside the shop area. customer call for tow truck and brought car to residence. customer has no knowledge of the parts purchased at shop owner discretion, customer has no knowledge of parts purchased. customer was always given vague or partial analysis of auto needs for repair, customer was denied use, possession and enjoyment of vehicle for reasons unknown and "it's not ready yet" is not satisfactory. Customer was promised to repair car for 200.00 but was always reminded by owner that the actual repair cost would exceed 2000.00 plus, and to "just be patient". vehicle was returned to customer not repaired, and two and a half boxes of greasy parts were loaded to back seat and tail gate area. The identity of the parts are unknown and the vehicle was returned to customer in a " gutted out" condition. It was driven into the shop for replacement of power steering belt and cam sensor, and is now delivered to customer in inoperable and useless condition. The owner was hostile, aggressive, argumentative, and beligerent, when the car was released to customer, as if, it was the " customer's fault", that the repairs were not made according to the agreement made. customer was never informed of the additional parts needed-or the cost of the materials. Several attempts to understand how the repair was being handled, were met with lack of professionalism and total disregard for the need to communicate the resolution of repair. let it be known the customer requested a steering belt and cam sensor be added to the vehicle ( and paid for the repair cost), and all the other " repairs that were not authorized or agreed upon by the customer ", are the liability of the owner. The owner offerred to repair the car for 200.00( even after HE discovered that so much more needed to be done- and felt quite proud to offer such a discount , from his projected estimate that the total worth of repair was excessive of 2000.00 in parts and labor. ). My property has been utterly destroyed and sitting out in the driveway and cannot be driven. all I needed was a power steering belt and a cam sensor added on 6/13/2014. Desired Settlementthe parts removed from the car must be replaced.and a refund must be given for the work that was paid for - power steering belt added and sensor. also the customer must be compensated for loss of use of vehicle for the periods ( 6-16-2014 to 6-21-2014) at 100.00 per day.

I writing this letter in reference to the Discount Muffler and Brakes shop located at [redacted] I requested the replacement of my catalytic converter but the shop replaced my converter with a straight pipe; when I went back and asked that they do the work I requested or just put my old part back they refused to do so . All I wanted was for my car to be returned to its original state yet they refuse to do so.
