Review: I had hired them because I received a violation from the NYC department of buildings. They had invoiced me for $2800, which I paid them up front. The agreement was that $2800 will be charged upfront and if the case was not dismissed then that $2800 will be applied towards legalizing the conditions in the violation. They never showed up to the first court hearing. I received a letter stating how no one had showed up. When I called no one picked up or responded to any messages. I kept calling non stop but nothing. Then finally I decided to go down to their office personally. When I went there the lady said not to worry and that there will be another hearing date issued. I took her word for it and left. My landlord had also received the letter from the court stating no one had appeared to the hearing. He got very frustrated at the situation and said that he is going to come to the next hearing along with a lawyer just in case if mine doesn't show up again. I went down to the NYC Expediting office again to let them know that me, my landlord and his lawyer are going to be there so please show up and what happened last time shouldn't happen again. I called the office on my way to the court no one picked up. I emailed her from the court and no still response. Then we waited from 9 to 11:30 and no one showed up. Finally my landlord's lawyer signed us in for the hearing. After the case I went to the office again and asked for a refund or put it towards the work to legalize the condition but the lady who runs the place said no to doing either. They took my money and did absolutely no work! I have an invoice from them stating how they will put the $2800 towards the work if they case was not dismissed. They have denied to even follow their own invoice. I had to pay the fine plus the landlord's lawyer on top of the already spend $2800. Please help or at least shut this business down so they won't do this to any one else again. Their office is a complete scam.Desired Settlement: I would like my $2800 back.

At this time, I have not been contacted by NYC Expediting Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted]. In fact I had gone and visited the business but they refused to even open the door to speak to me. I had then called the police on them for fraud and stealing money but they said they cant do anything and we should instead file a court case.
