This scam company sent me a 'FINAL NOTICE' in the mail, trying to trick me into signing up for their programThey had even somehow obtained my current loan balance amount in dollars and cents and included it in their ploy letter to help make it seem 'official'I'm always current on my payments, but some folks aren't, & I don't like this kind of deception that preys on the emotions of those less informed or those who might be under financial duressThese folks are crooks and tricksters in my book, and should be charged with ethics violations for their shady business practices!

This is, unfortunately, a manipulation of phraseology and taking advantage of what we have heard about Student Loan forgiveness through the Affordable Care ActI did not realize that this was a third party (NOT the Department of Education) until they asked me for $for "processing"At that point I requested my card not be charged, but there is a concern of the additional information given to the Document Preparation Center when they are posing under the guise of the Department of EducationThis is an unfortunate play on the desire of so many to be free from debt

This is, unfortunately, a manipulation of phraseology and taking advantage of what we have heard about Student Loan forgiveness through the Affordable Care Act. I did not realize that this was a third party (NOT the Department of Education) until they asked me for $800 for "processing". At that point I requested my card not be charged, but there is a concern of the additional information given to the Document Preparation Center when they are posing under the guise of the Department of Education. This is an unfortunate play on the desire of so many to be free from debt.

Review: [redacted]

This was an organization/company claiming to help borrowers with student debt.

I did research after I spoke with one of their representatives online. This company was asking for a $600-700 fee of school loan debt consolidation. I told them, "I'll do research first and and think about it first" and did not agree to their fees and program.

After research, I confirm that they are a scam and/or trying to get money from borrowers by tricking and lying to them. I will not agree nor sign with their programs.

HOWEVER, since I first thought they were a legitimate company because they mentioned they worked with the Federal Student Aid directly, I gave them my Social Security number, date of birth and address when they asked for it. I hope this will not affect me negatively nor put me at risk for ID fraud.

They now have my Social Security number, date of birth and other personal private information and I am extremely worried and scared they will misuse it for evil intent towards me and theft from me. eg: They can easily start new credit cards, online credit cards, online payment cards, use it for online payment websites, [redacted], etc., etc.

Please help and any help greatly appreciated.Desired Settlement: Remove and Delete ALL personal information they have stolen from me in their database and phone recordings. viz: social security number, FAFSA PIN number, date of birth information, home address, phone numbers, etc.

This legit scam company sent us a FINAL NOTICE in the mail. Tricked us to sign up for their program and get all of our personal and financial information by saying they work with the Department of Education. They wanted us to pay $800 up front. I'm sure they claim to offer a legitimate service that fills out the paperwork necessary to qualify for a standard IBR, but this can be done simply by anyone via the department of education website directly. YOU DO NOT NEED THIS SERVICE! THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!

This scam company sent me a 'FINAL NOTICE' in the mail, trying to trick me into signing up for their program. They had even somehow obtained my current loan balance amount in dollars and cents and included it in their ploy letter to help make it seem 'official'. I'm always current on my payments, but some folks aren't, & I don't like this kind of deception that preys on the emotions of those less informed or those who might be under financial duress. These folks are crooks and tricksters in my book, and should be charged with ethics violations for their shady business practices!

Review: Received an item in the mail saying that I could qualify for student loan forgiveness or lowering of my monthly payments. Gave them all of my information. They took 599$ from my account. Researched them to realize that it's a scam. Tried to call the doc prep center to cancel the transaction and call kept disconnecting. Called the bank to have them cancel the transaction and was told to wait until Monday to see if it does actually get taken out and then if it is, I was told to file a dispute at the bankDesired Settlement: I just want the money back that they took from me. I also want to make sure my card number, social security number and other important info is out of their hands so that they can't take money from me in the future.
