Dominick's Italian Market & Deli Reviews (17)

Mr. [redacted] knows that the roofers put the fascia on that did not match correctly, not the carpenter.  This is the reason the carpenter was sent out to repair it.We have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter at Mr. [redacted]'s home.  We are not perfect and we make mistakes like every other company.  However, we are one of the few roofing companies that stand behind our work and are willing to completely remove $1,000 carpentry job and do it again when it is not done right. Which we did, at our expense. This is what one should expect when entering into an agreement with a reputable roofing contractor. It's interesting to note that he makes reference to only the bad online reviews he has located.  A-TEX not only has 10 five star reviews for every 1 bad review out there, we also have the most five star reviews of ANY other roofing company in San Antonio and South Texas. It is also very interesting that most all of the bad reviews come from clients who do not want to pay their bill.Mr. [redacted] owes $5,000 for a roof replacement and doesn't want to pay because of a caulking issue.

Hello Mr. [redacted],We are here to assist you with any issues you are having with your roof.  [redacted] is no longer with the company so any messages or emails you are sending to him are not reaching our service department.  I will have a service manager contact you right away so that we can get...

your roof leak resolved.  We will also take care of interior issues relating to the leak.  Your customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us and we will have this issue resolved for you as soon as possible.Thank you for your business. Tell us why here...

Per our conversation, Mr. [redacted] is not only an irrational person, he is also an opportunist who continues to demand free work.  Throughout this entire job, we continued to give in to his demands in the interest of getting paid considering his project was over $20,000.  Once we received payment, I had no reason to continue to give him freebies.  In regards to window beading, he was informed from the beginning that no window companies are performing window beading currently due to their backlog of windows and that we would be discounting that amount from his balance due, which we did.  He went through his invoice meticulously before finally paying. He is just looking for a way to punish us for telling him "no" on any more additional work.

I apologize that the report was not to your liking. We will mail you a full refund of the $275.

As we explained to Mrs. [redacted], we are reviewing this matter with her insurance company and if in fact we did over charge by $250, we will be more than happy to refund the amount.Mrs. [redacted] is under the impression that making a report on the Revdex.com will somehow expedite this process, however we still...

need to wait for the insurance company to respond.

I am rejecting this response because:  I am under no impression.  This company is rude and unprofessional.  I have spoken to my insurance company this week and no indication was made that there was contact between them and ATEX.  I will include the email correspondence as proof.  This is beyond sad at this point.  The company agreed to the terms with the adjuster back on October  5th and at that time was aware of the discrepancy.  I gave the company almost 4 weeks to return the funds and when I sent out one final email and received no response  as was the case as soon as this company received my business, I had a right to file a complaint, not to be screamed at about being sued and "ruining a multi-million dollar company"  Please see the correspondence and at this time I will verify for my own clarification whether ATEX has contacted the insurance company.   [redacted]You can consider filing a claim in small claims court for the $250.20.Thank you,[redacted]Property Loss SpecialistPersonal Insurance – Property Ops[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Regards,[redacted]Again they talk like they came out multiple times to fix various issues they did our roof months after we signed the bid and that was fine I guess never got on roof to inspect the work that was done. After roof was finished we never heard back from A-Tex till after multiple calls from us for all other work , check their work dates almost 11 months for them to finish all other work . They new they needed to finish before April on not be paid from insurance company and the work they did shows they had to finish quick even the president of A-Tex came out to inspect the work that was done and had to get another crew to come out to fix the issues that the first jobber had done. Someone from the Revdex.com needs to come out to look at all the issues with their work and work that was never done and we can even show you pictures of the work that was done most of the hardy board pictures that were taken are from his worker that took these and sent them to A-Tex president telling him he couldn't touch up the work that they did because it was done so bad. Something needs to be done to this company to prevent from this happing to someone else again who does this company answer to everyone has someone they ansewer to I want them to know the hell this company put us through.....

Most companies would have walked away from this client from the beginning.  A-TEX stands behind their work to the point where we continued to return to this client's home to try to satisfy them multiple times - even to the point of losing money on the job. Unfortunately, there are just those folks out there that go through life angry and unsatisfied with everything.  Such an unfortunate way to live.  We honestly wish them all the best.

We are sincerely concerned whenever we identify unhappy clients.  Unfortunately in this case we have been informed by the homeowner on multiple occasions that even if we were to perform the additional work approved by the insurance company that the client does not have the funds to pay for...

it.  As far as the roof not being up to specs, our recommendation is to have an independent inspector inspect the roof.  Making complaints to the Revdex.com will not make the bill go away for the work completed.

Hi [redacted],Per our conversation this client does not live here and has never personally seen our work and has been relying on information provided to him by his property manager.Initially there was some carpentry (fascia repair) performed by one of our roofing crews who didn't match the wood exactly....

As soon as we were made aware of this, we completely removed and replaced the new wood at out expense of course.  This work was performed by our in house carpenter who has been with A-TEX for 7 years.Deficiencies were reported to the home owner by the property manager and we returned to the  home to add additional caulking.Again, deficiencies were reported and again we went out to follow up.  We ended up at the home 5 times checking areas that they were complaining about.  Throughout this process, the homeowner refuses to answer the phone and only sends nasty emails.[redacted]

During our discussion with the insurance company, the adjuster relayed the amounts of the checks that were sent to Mrs[redacted].  The first two payments that were issued to Mrs[redacted] were forwarded to her mortgage company for endorsement and the mortgage company then paid out the amounts to A-TEX.  According to the insurance company, there has been an additional payment released and sent to Mrs[redacted].  As of today, the mortgage company has not received that payment.  So, not only have NOT been overpaid by $250, we actually are still owed over $1,000. Both the insurance company and the mortgage company have agreed to forward documentation of the information provided above.  Once we receive the documents, we will upload for all to review.

[redacted], I have left several messages and sent this man emails and cannot reach him.  [redacted]

We have built our reputation on our mission of never leaving an unsatisfied client.  Unfortunately, there are some clients that will never be happy no matter how many times you go back to "fix" issues.  Some clients will continue to ask for additional "free" services until it gets to the...

point of us having to finally draw the line, even at the risk of not getting paid what is owed to us.  Sometimes you just have to just call it a day and part ways.

We have had some difficulty coordinating schedules, however we have spoken with Mr. [redacted] and we have an appointment set up to take care of the issue.

I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] You may send this to ATEX as the reply from Liberty Mutual they requested.  I have not heard from anyone at ATEX and there are no notes in your file which indicated ATEX has contact us regarding your claim. If ATEX can do simple math, the amount of their invoice less the amount you paid them should show they have been overpaid by $250.20. Thank you, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I do not know who did what at ATex, whether it was the carpenter or roofers, but ATex is one company and I have one contract so to me, as a customer, this is immaterial.  I do know that whoever supervises or checks the work is AWOL.  The point I and other complainants make is that the customer had to identify the multiple problems and complain multiple times until they were fixed.  Besides the poor workmanship, which Mr. [redacted] declares he stands behind, is the strong evidence that ATex does not have internal quality control, so poor construction is common, rather than the exception to the rule.  Mr. [redacted], if you stand behind your work like you claim, send your best “inspector” to the job and have them make a punch list of what was done wrong and needs to be fixed!  As to ATex’s customer ratings, they run about 30% negative in the last year and all pretty much say the same thing:  ATex is unresponsive and won’t fix or identify their own poor work and fix it unless the customer complains multiple times.  Of course, customers do not complete payment until the work is done correctly, they have a right to expect ATex to perform to the contract, and Mr [redacted] seems to indicate that is what the customer should expect.  The issue with the job on my house is no longer the caulking – this was finally corrected.  Unless, of course, ATex feels it is, in which case, they know what needs to be fixed.  My sense is that ATex does not know what is defective with this job.  I will attempt to attach some pics (same ones I sent to ATex two months ago) to illustrate, and point out that one of their repairs violates code.
