Dr. Motorworx Reviews (3)

Review: The engine was replaced my vehicle a 2002 Audi A6 with a factory rebuild engine. The cost of the repair was $5,120.00. I was provided with a 3 years 70,000 miles warranty. The engine failed within 2 month of repair.

The vehicle was returned to [redacted] for repair. The car has been at their place of business since February 16, 2013. I have continued to call and each time it is communicated that the vehicle will be ready prior to the week end, and each week it is not ready.

I subsequently asked for a replacement engine and [redacted] communicated that it would take to long to get a replacement engine from the factory. They have had my vehicle for as long as it originally took to replace my engine. At this point I have no confidence that the engine can be repaired correctly or that I will get my car returned without additional concerns.Desired Settlement: Replace the defective engine and pay me $30.00 each day they have my car above the first seven days (starting Feb 24, 2013) toward to procurement of vehicle to drive during the time my car is out of service.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The check engine light came back on Thursday March 28, 2013. After all of the cost associated as well as the inconvenience I have traded the car. In addition there has been no compensation for the time I went without my car.

Regards,

Review: I would like to file a formal complaint against [redacted] also known as Catlinc Incorporated. On November 7, 2013, my 2004 [redacted] was towed to [redacted] to have the engine re-built. Based on my conversation with **. [redacted], Owner, on November 9th, it was agreed that they would be able to replace my engine at the cost of $7,100 with a 2 year warranty. In order to start work on my truck, [redacted] requested a deposit of $3,000 which was paid on November 12, 2013 to cover the parts that were required for my vehicle. During the time, **. [redacted] had already pulled out my engine and provided me with a thorough walk through on what needed to be done to my truck and indicated that it would take approximately 2 weeks to get my vehicle completed.

After the two week timeline had passed, there began to be various reasons provided by **. [redacted] on why my vehicle was not ready. For example, he was waiting on parts, timing tools, incorrect timing tools so re-order was required, transmission went into flux mode and truck running but need to reset the codes.

On January 20, 2014, I finally picked up my vehicle and **. [redacted] indicated that I needed to drive it for a couple days so the air suspension codes and engine re-set codes would clear. At that time, I paid a balance of $3,732 due to the inconvenience of not having my truck for over two months; a total of $6,732 was paid in full. However, on January 23, 2014, there were loud noises coming from my truck so I immediately called **. [redacted] to inform him about this issue and he informed me that he would arrange a tow. On January 24, 2014, my truck was towed back to [redacted].

On January 30, 2014, I spoke to **. [redacted] and he indicated that the noise was not coming from the engine which concerned me. Therefore, on February 7, 2014, I filed a lawsuit with [redacted] County small claims court for work not completely done and warranty issues. The hearing date was scheduled for March 7th at 9:30 am. However, on March 5, 2014, I called **. [redacted] to check the status of my vehicle and he indicated that he stopped work on the vehicle due to the lawsuit but then he agreed that if I drop the lawsuit that he would have my truck done within a week. To date, I’m still waiting for my truck to be fixed and I have not been provided a timeline of when this will be done. Additionally, I have received various reasons on the problem with my vehicle and why my truck is not ready by [redacted] such as it is crank shaft issues, the pixels order has not come in and incorrect bearings was placed in my vehicle and will have to be replaced. On Friday, March 21st, **. [redacted] indicated that his mechanic was not in yet but they should have it running and ready. I called back at 3 pm and did not get an answer. On Monday, March 24th, I was told an entire different story in regards to the issues of my vehicle. At this point, I do not know what to believe, it appears that what **. [redacted] has been telling me are lies and he has been deceiving me.

Overall, [redacted] has not honored their warranty and has unprofessional mechanics that have not re-built my engine in order to get my truck running properly and within the timeline indicated. I have been out of my vehicle for nearly 5 months and rely on my vehicle for going back and forth to work. Thus, I would like that the Revdex.com to intervene to get this issue resolved.Desired Settlement: To return my vehicle within a reasonable time with the engine re-built correctly and in excellent working condition which includes the 2 year warranty from the effective date that it was properly done correctly.

Review: I have hired Motorworx to replace my engine on my 2006 [redacted] and payed $9000 to replace the engine with a 3 yr warranty. When me and my boyfriend contacted motorworxs they gave us this quote and told us this would be a brand new engine with 0 miles. After less then 6 months the engine went bad again during those six months I have called and took the car back multiple times due to many issues with the care overheating and also when the car turned on black smoke would come out. I also had the car look at when had a oil change made and I was advise to inform Dr. Motorworxs that oil and anti-freeze was mixing wich I had mention this to the owner and he just ingnore it and told me that its a new engine with 0 miles and it should not have that problem and the issue was my radiator and needed a new one which I agree for him to change it. So after 3 months the engine went bad and he was contacted again and told us to tow the car to him so he can look at it. Now he is telling me that the warranty is voided because the car over heated because the car was race (according to owner this was told by the towing man that drop the car). During the first couple times I was able to reach the owner I had asked him why would the engine go bad if its a brand new engine with no miles, his response was that its a rebuild manufacture engine with new parts and that he denied that he said it was a new engine with 0 miles. He has the car for 2 months and we have called many times we ether get a response that he is to busy and back up with other work and gives us attitude and hang up the phone on us. He also keeps making excuses of why the warranty is voided and he will get to it when he get to it. I have continued to call and each time it is communicated that the vehicle will be ready prior to the week end, and each week it is not ready. Lately he has avoided our calls and have not called us back to update us on the car after many weeks that he told us that he will get to the car that week. Last conversation we had I informed him if this was not deal with I would take him to court and his answer was if I do he will stop working on my car. When my boyfriend also called them he was told that we should of contacted him to let him know that oil and anti-freeze was mixing int he engine which he was informed by me and he ignore it and replaced something else insteadDesired Settlement: My desired outcome is for Dr. Motorworx honor the warranty they gave us and to stop making excuses to fix my car. I want my car repair ASAP because im still making payments on this car that he has in his shop for over 2 months.
