I paid (promptly)$100.00 for the tech to come out and evaluate some non working parts on my hot tub.I stopped by the store on 4/27/13 to see if they checked hot tubs for some issues (jets on left side not working, screen doesn't show temperature, and some of the plastic jets and headrests are broken) I was having with my spa. 5/1/13 tech came out and evaluated spa and charged $100.005/6/13 I received a bill and paid for the evaluation.5/10/13 called store and spoke with a woman who said they are too busy opening pools right now to be bothered with looking up my parts5/17/13 11:52 am I called the store and spoke with [redacted] to check on status of parts that were to be priced for me to determine if we would order and repair.5/25/13 Stopped at store and spoke with [redacted]. He couldn't believe someone never got back to me with part estimate. He said he would have someone check on status on Tuesday and call me. He never called.5/26/13 called [redacted] and he stated he was waiting for the repair tech to get him the part number (which was out in the repair tech's truck) before he could find out where to get the part6/13/13 9:41 am I called store and [redacted] was with a customer and they took my name and number and said he would call back in 10 min or so. He never called.I am very upset that I was charged and paid promptly and the business doesn't even have the courtesy to call and say they can't find the parts or that the business can't repair the issues. I would have at least liked a call back to tell me the status of what they were doing. I feel like I was being blown off and the business can't be bothered with a small job.Desired SettlementI would like the $100.00 paid for the evaluation back since I now have to go to another company to find out if they can get the parts needed. I agreed to the evaluation with the assumption they would be able to repair the hot tub.Business' Initial Response On April 29, 2013 we spoke with [redacted] concerning problems she was having with her Saratoga Spa. She was having problems with the jets on the left side of her spa and the panel on top was working just no temperature display. We scheduled our spa technician to go out on May 1, 2013. We quoted [redacted] $100.00 per hour to diagnose and or fix the problems. On May 1, 2013 Our Spa technician went out as scheduled and found that the diverter valve was stuck which is why her jets would not work on one side. The technician disassembled valve and turn it to get the jets to work. The topside lights were not getting to the top to display the tempurature. May 3, 2013 We sent out an invoice detailing the work that was done and what needs to be done to fix the issues. The jets were working, but if [redacted] wanted to turn them off and on she would need a new diverter valve. The topside was missing the display and would need to be replaced. We explained that we do not carry Saratoga Spas and would take some time to find the correct topside. We are very sorry that we did not keep [redacted] aware of the situation in regards to locating the topside. We have located the topside and it is available. We would be happy to order it for her and install it if she would like. If this is not satisfactory we will refund her payment. Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)When we agreed to have technician come out, I had asked to receive a quote for repairing the topside, fixing the jets that weren't working, obtaining headrests that were broken, and getting prices for some of the plastic jet covers that were broken. Based on the companies response, it seems like they only looked into the topside since I filed the complain and none of the other issues that were discussed with [redacted] when agreeing to obtain service. At this point, I am not satisfied that the agreement to come out and quote me a price to fix the hot tub was fulfilled. I would like to receive a refund and be done with this company. Business' Final Response On August 12, 2013 A check for $100.00 was mailed to the customer via USPS.
