I have experienced unprofessional installation from this company. They damaged parts of my vehicle while installing. The products were not complete.[redacted] was very unprofessional in installation of the products he offered and did not even know how to install some products. He was in charge of installing a variety of emergency strobe lighting in my 2014 [redacted] that I just purchased. I stressed to him this vehicle was important and it could not be damaged. [redacted] stated all work is guaranteed and he will replace any parts damaged, I found that out not to be true. He damaged two headlights and two tail lights while installing LED Hideaway Bulbs in them. The cracked the headlights and tail lights as well as not sealing them correctly causing water to leak in to the light causing the light not to work and condensation to be left. He did not return over a dozen screws that were on my vehicle prior to installation that held the grille and bumper on as well as several other parts. He used screws that rusted and broke off. He left multiple fingerprints, smudges, and grease stains all over my interior of the vehicle as well as scratches. These could not be fully removed after a [redacted] professional detail by a third party. He did not finish the entire job but decided to charge me for all of it. [redacted] was sent multiple photos and emails regarding the damages and lied about offering a partial refund for damaged and missing parts. He did not reply to many emails I sent in a timely manor and some emails not at all. "DVE" was very unprofessional. I do not plan on using them again.Desired SettlementI tried to request a refund for only the damaged headlights. I stated to him I will not request the total amount of the original headlights that were damaged but rather only the cheaper cost of the after market ones I will be purchasing. He refused to refund me as "photos were not enough to prove condensation and water damage"Business Response Complainant is not being honest in his claim. He had no issues with the installation whatsoever up until recent. He posted a video to [redacted] and shared it on my Company's Business [redacted] wall. This was a video of his truck displaying all of the lights installed. The comment made on our page above the video goes as follows:" A big shout out to [redacted] and the Duggan Vehicle Equipment Team for this amazing job! They outfitted my [redacted] with white and amber [redacted] Lighting. I came across DVE after looking around at other companies. They were amazing to deal with- kept me up to date on the all aspects of the installation- and got it done in a very reasonable amount of time. They exceeded my expectations and I plan to work with them again in the very near future after this great experience.I recommend DVE to anyone looking for automotive outfitting. Thanks again to the team at Duggan Vehicle Equipment!" Post written on [redacted]I received a phone call from him stating he tried to email me regarding said issues, I advised him I received no emails on my business account. He stated to me his concerns about some condensation in a headlight and a grease stain in the headliner, I asked him to stop down the shop and we will clean the stain and take a look at the headlight. He did not want to come to the shop and was adamant about receiving [redacted] dollars for new headlights. I explained to him that many things could have happened and it could be something very minor like a seal on the lightbulb socket. The complainant again was very adamant about not lettting us see said damage and wanted money for new headlights.I stressed to him that I would like to see what damage he was speaking of, he told me he would not let me see it and that he had someone else look at it and that we "did it wrong". He then sent a picture of what appeared to be a headlight on a Chevy Pickup truck, the headlight did have some condensation behind the lens but could not be proven that it was in fact the complainants truck.I feel it was only fair for us to get the chance at looking at the alleged damage and to be able to come to a solution on fixing it, whether or not it be replacing the headlights or re seating the factory seal on the bulb. I advised the complainant that we have done well over two dozen vehicles with similar headlights and only on a couple occasions a vehicle came back with condensation, the problem being was the seal around the headlight bulb needed to be re set. I find these claims to be un true and feel the complainant did not give us a fair chance at making it right.
