Duplicating Methods

The son had us sign a new lease agreement promising delivery of new machine. He never paid off the old lease. Never delivered anything else. We now have 2 leases for the old machine. The son doesn't work for them anymore. They won't answer any of my questions or even help to clear any of this mess up. I've called, emailed and have written (return receipt) and its been months!

Review: Our Church was a longtime customer of this company since 2007 with no problems. Based upon this, we paid in full on 11/18/14 ($2495.00 total) for a [redacted] Model FS6525 copier with a delivery date of December 2014. On 4 December we were advised that the copier arrived at Duplicating Methods however it was damaged and was returned to the supplier. We were further advised on 23 December that a replacement copier would arrive at the beginning of January. There was nothing further heard from the company despite several e-mail inquiries in January. A response from the son of the owner (who also sold us the copier) on 18 February indicated that he was not interested in following up on the order and to contact the owner of the business (his father) - Mr Dan S[redacted]. Several e-mails and attempts at calling during Feb-April resulted in no responses and no firm delivery date. On May 22, 2015 was the first contact that we were able to make with the owner and he stated a firm delivery date of the end of May. That date came and went and since then we have not been able to contact the owner to resolve this issue. We have left numerous messages with the office staff and the calls were never returned. At the end of May the Church decided that we could no longer wait for the copier and requested a full refund of the money that was paid via registered mail on 22 June 2015 and signed as received at Duplicating Methods on 23 June. We have tried to contact the owner since that time via phone calls and e-mails and we have not heard from him. At this point in time we would like to see if the Revdex.com can help resolve getting a refund as we are unable to get a response from Duplicating Methods.Desired Settlement: [redacted] Church would like a refund of the funds originally paid back in November 2014 for the copy machine. We will not accept another copier as we have leased one through another supplier.

The Church is open to negotiate a partial refund if funds can be paid out promptly upon resolution.

I am a small business owner in Burlington, CT and I wanted to describe my experience with Duplicating Methods. I purchased a Sharp color copy machine from them back in 2011. The machine cost over $2000 and gave us nothing but problems from day one. Their service technician would come out and tell us it was all set then two days later it would start to malfunction again. This past August their salesman came in and convinced me to lease another machine from them to replace the junk machine they originally sold me. I was told at the time that the new machine would take a month to come in and when the leasing company called I was instructed to lie to them and say that we already had received the machine. So I started making payments of $160/month for a machine I didn't even have. One month went by, two months went by, three months went by and still no machine. When I called I kept getting the same story that they were waiting for a part to put in my "new" machine. It finally reached a point where we told them we no longer wanted the machine. They implored us to just wait a little longer, that the machine was almost ready, but we said no, we had waited long enough. They were supposed to reimburse me for the three months of payments I had made to [redacted], but they never did. Now when I called for service to fix the original junk machine they sold me I was told that the owner of the company refused to deal with us anymore, as if this situation was somehow my fault. This company is an absolute joke. If their salesman comes into to your business, don't be fooled. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DUPLICATING METHODS!!!!

Review: I used company to lease a copier. Upon wanting an updated copier, I leased a new one from the same company. The company did not ever pay off the previous lease, as was indicated. The company did not solve the problem and I have been paying my old lease and my new lease since 2013. I found out this morning that Duplicating Methods failed to cancel the previous lease and it was automatically renewed for another 160 days and, as a result of that I have to keep paying on a lease for another several months.

I have complained about this before, Duplicating Methods told Revdex.com it would resolve it. DM did NOT and did NOT even cancel the offending lease. The company made a token payment. DM does not take calls or respond. The company is stealing from me every single month; the company is not making any effort to resole or acknowledge the problem. I will have to file a law suit and go to further expense in order to be reimbursed. Your (Revdex.com's) efforts have not helped me so far.Desired Settlement: I want all of the money owed to me paid off, IMMEDIATELY and I WANT THE COMPANY TO CANCEL THE LEASE. I want to be reimbursed for my time, my efforts to collect.
